Seen that Leicester are linked with Anthony Robinson. Ac Milan nearly signed him in Jan and are apparently still interested.

I said at the time it was silly business to let him go for such a minimal fee but hey ho.

Would you take him back as back up for Digne? .

If the price was right I probably would tbh.

1.) 06 Jul 2020 09:03:58
No wouldn't have him back we've just signed a young left back and will still hopefully have Baines for another season.

{Ed002's Note - Niels Nkounkou is not first team level yet - he has never played a senior game.}

2.) 06 Jul 2020 11:01:41
I know ed002 however as I said if we keep Baines he will have a year to prove if he is good enough so why buy another LB if we hope Nkounkou will progress to the 1st team squad?

3.) 06 Jul 2020 16:19:38
Your always going to have ones that slip through the net, look at how many in u21 that are potential first team but sadly only very few will play at first team level, I do hope we keep Kenny and don’t sign sidibe he is ok but don’t think he is massive improvement on what we have in our club.

17 Jun 2020 12:20:43
Do you know if it would be possible to sign Gabriel Veron Ed? .

I know Watford where granted special talent
With Richarlison but he's only currently 17.

{Ed002's Note - If the transfer window is still open when he turns 18 then it is possible - but I would not get your hopes up about it happening. Richarlison myst have been 19 or 20 when he moved. The "special talent" relates to Work Permits not age.}

1.) 17 Jun 2020 13:06:03
One player whose name keeps popping up is Allan from Napoli I can see him being our next signing apparently talks have been going on.

{Ed002's Note - Napoli are looking for between €60M-€70M for Allan.}

2.) 17 Jun 2020 15:58:23
Hope not he too expensive unless its a loan for a small or no fee and we only pay half his wages then maybe but that would never happen.

3.) 17 Jun 2020 17:06:21
29, unproven. 20-25mill Euros max imo. Although saying that I don’t really see us spending that amount of money this window.

4.) 17 Jun 2020 17:13:03
We won’t be paying that for a player who is almost 30 years old I think.

5.) 17 Jun 2020 19:53:28
Would Napoli really have a valuation that high Ed? 60-70 million euros seems insane, he is out favour at Napoli, is aged 28-29 I think, and is hardly a household name or a regular international player, can you really see anyone paying that for Allan. let alone anyone else in what is set to be a very strange transfer window?

{Ed002's Note - Napoli are very difficult to deal with and their players are all being link with Everton because of Carlo A. Everton have severe financial issues they should look to resolve first, but if they can negotiate the price down then there is no doubt a decent player there. Other clubs deal with priorities first so Everton need to focus.}

6.) 17 Jun 2020 20:25:48
Also Ed was wondering, hearing in the past that some. if not all premier league teams would secure loans every summer set against season ticket sales etc, with the prospects of no fans inside stadiums for the time being at least, I imagine there are some really nervous owners of football clubs at present, you would worry about smaller clubs, but no ticket sales and matchday revenue would surely represent a massive loss for some of the bigger clubs, is there any real prospect of a premier league club going bust?

{Ed002's Note - Not all clubs but some live on the edge and some over the edge. There will be clubs in trouble this year but I don’t see any going bust - particularly there are a couple of active buys out there.}

7.) 17 Jun 2020 20:44:56
Newcastle and the Saudis? Bloody hell if I was Steve Bruce and I got summoned to a meeting with new owners I would resign on the spot!

{Ed002's Note - No, there are two other groups looking for a club.}

8.) 18 Jun 2020 14:12:49
---------------------moronic rubbish removed--------------------

{Ed002's Note - It is astonishing how little some fans know about their club.}

09 Jun 2020 16:48:03
What's the opinion on resigning Barkley.

Not that I think we would but for me I would take him back.

Couldn't care less that he wanted to move on a few years ago.

He would add creativity and goals to are dismally creatively defunct midfield and would be an improvement on what we have.

For some reason I can see him going to West Ham or Newcastle tbh.

1.) 09 Jun 2020 17:09:26
No thank you the boy can can do one he treated us terribly by coming back using our facilities and getting himself fit knowing he would be joining Chelsea on a lesser fee no doubt with a nice large signing on fee I also read he was very close to signing for Liverpool over us when he was a kid yep true Evertonion him.

2.) 09 Jun 2020 19:07:07
Sorry Sir_loin, but think that’s a ridiculous suggestion.
He left under a cloud, could have gone for a bigger fee but delayed by a transfer window, rumours of problems within the city leading to his transfer, not set the world alight at Chelsea - why would any evertonian want him back?

3.) 10 Jun 2020 17:33:10
Don't we do this every window?

4.) 10 Jun 2020 19:18:44
Surely there’s better than him out there. He is everything in a footballer that I dislike. The only positive For him is that he surely can’t be as thick as he looks. Some players have the opportunity to leave and manage to do it without too much trouble. Barkley is an Evertonian who somehow manages to upset practically everyone of his fellow supporters. That takes an unprecedented level of stupidity.

5.) 11 Jun 2020 09:17:24
Its a no from me.

6.) 11 Jun 2020 14:40:20
Really? No from me too!

08 Jun 2020 23:50:04
Do you know of any Everton interest in Ajer Ed?

{Ed002's Note - My notes say: Kristoffer Ajer (CB) Milan see Ajar as a cheaper option to their primary target but funds may not stretch as they look to sell players and buy lower priced alternatives. With other options falling by the wayside, Ajar is of interest to Leicester. Top of the list for Atletico Madrid - but only if they lose a CB - which they are trying to avoid. Previous interest of Spurs, Newcastle and Ajax has moved on.}

1.) 09 Jun 2020 12:03:37
Cheers!

24 May 2020 19:09:46
Any idea if Eduardo Camavinga is of any interest to any PL teams heading into the next window Ed?

Don't know how much he would cost but what a talent he looks. Would love him at Everton.

{Ed002's Note - He has been but won't be moving to England. Real Madrid will push, PSG may take a chance but I expect he will stay at Renne another year. He will certainly not be moving to Everton I am afraid.}

Top man Oumar. He's donated some of his last pay packet to a local charity.

Could never fault his work ethic and attitude and he certainly rescued us a few times with important goals a few years ago.

Can't say I've ever seen him publicly slag the club off even when the famous locker incident happened

Wish him all the best for the future.

1.) 01 Jul 2020 20:03:48
The one thing you want from every departing player is that they leave with class. Niasse did just so. All the best for the future lad.

2.) 01 Jul 2020 20:14:14
world class. They should have given him a golden locker as a leaving present.

3.) 01 Jul 2020 20:36:13
Might have had a go when playing but not his fault our scouting was appalling and we had no one better. Always tried and dealt with obstacles in his way with class. Can't say he will be missed but thanks for the effort, good luck for future and class departure.

Interesting to see my suggestion of FIFA (the game) crowd noise being used on TV.

If done correctly it's the way forward while we can't have fans imo.

1.) 02 Jun 2020 14:06:31
In the NRL (National Rugby League) Australia, they are using card board cutouts of fans in stadium seats. Looks great.

2.) 02 Jun 2020 14:22:42
When the games on TV why not mute it and play your own sound fx? Strikes me that the world of football has more important things to worry about than piping fake or old crowd noises into your house.

3.) 02 Jun 2020 21:28:03
Lol what a bizarre response. For 1 unrelated external sound would have no correlation with the game that you’re watching.

Football is returning regardless of its right or wrong

I was merely putting out ideas on how to improve what will be a TV sport for the foreseeable future.

It’s a product at the end of the day and Sky ect will want to make it as good as possible.

{Ed002's Note - You don’t think a little Grateful Dead at high volume might encourage the team.}

4.) 02 Jun 2020 23:50:18
Grateful Dead. Awesome! Did someone spend the 80s wearing tie dye t-shirts and traversing the USA in a VW camper van covered in sugar skulls?

{Ed002's Note - I am from the USA.}

5.) 03 Jun 2020 14:12:19
i think some fans need stop being fussy whether to have fan noise or not we all know the circumstances for not allowing fans to watch the games but now people jumping on the sound band wagon saying its not the same without noise and they can't watch it yeah its not the same but least be grateful that the football is back and to the cardboard cut outs think its a waste of time in my opinion.

6.) 04 Jun 2020 09:42:45
Why not have fans sponsor the cutouts and have their faces on them raise money for charity, would help image of the game.

7.) 04 Jun 2020 12:17:50
Think I would like the Korean version of fan cutouts - along with the appropriate mood music of course, oh and a few bottles of Harry Westons.

31 May 2020 19:26:34
Alassane Pléa Looks a handful for Borussia Monchengladbach. Would be a decent replacement for Niasse and Tosun imo.

1.) 04 Jun 2020 12:20:12
Sir_Loin, don't want to put a damper on it, but A. We have to sell them on first and B. FFP hasn't miraculously gone away.

30 May 2020 16:31:41
What's everyone verdict on Sidibe? . I'm u decided if I'm honest. If the reports of a reduction on the agreed price are true I'd probably go for it but yeah. Not 100% convinced.

1.) 31 May 2020 13:19:23
Hes a bit of a square peg in a round hole with poly filler doing it's best to stop the leaks.
Has a few flashes but not what we need money should be put towards better in my view, shake his hand thank him send him on his way.

30 May 2020 15:20:07
Watching Schalke again. Must say I'm really impressed with Todibo and would welcome his signing. Little bit Raw but at 20 that's expected. Kenny on the other hand hasn't convinced me in the 2 games I've watched.

1.) 30 May 2020 16:00:41
Although I must add Schalke are a really poor side so you’ve got to take that in to consideration with regards to Kenny.

Tough 1. If we could get a replacement in plus the CB we already need I’d be tempted. There is something about the way he moves that makes me nervous. He seems sorta gangly/ clumsy imo.

Great in the air but hasn’t made the most of that offensively for us as of yet.

Could be worth a Kenny plus cash offer. Could you see that being something they may be interested in Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Schalke have serious money issues and will look to sell and bring in loans, out of contract players and youngsters. Schalke want another loan for Jonjoe Kenny but that is not looking likely so have turned to out of contract Ngakia who wants guarantees of game time that he will likely not get in the Premier League.}

Whilst they may offer a good environment Ed. Will they be willing to offer €35-40 mill to take him in Jan?

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know. Perhaps a loan initially?}

It’s poor because pretty much every other team has played 1 or 2 friendlies. We’ve played 0 which puts us at a disadvantage.

Poor planning/ preparation in my book.

As far as I know we haven’t no. We played an 11v11 in house game with the 23’s today but yeah no proper friendly.

Poor imo as every other team seems to have played 1 if not 2 friendlies.

Not sure on him Southern. The fact that any Southampton fan I’ve seen comment on the links is willing this deal to go through makes me worried lol.
