I’ve got to be honest: although I’m pleased he is gone, the timing is pretty awful. I’d have hoped they would wait until after tonight when he set up defensively against a league 1 side then we sack him in the morning after a dismal performance.

If it Moyes, it gives us time to steady the ship, get in the DOF and the make the real appointment in the summer or whenever is neccesary. I for one am sick of relegation battles and signing over payed shxte. No reason why we can't go for a Thomas Frank or someone else when we get to the summer.

In a heartbeat. 36 or 40 he is miles better on the ball than who we have, none of our wingers can go past a man anyway, so if he isn't that fast anymore, i don't see it being that big of a problem.

Yeah I have optimism but not delusions. If we get beat so be it but I'd like to see a flicker of our midfield trying to play to our striker and i'd like to see some tangible effort to play the game in a better way. 2 tough games but I think a hard fought score draw tonight and a win against a wobbling Spurs could be achievable. If we end up getting nothing from both games then I'd hope at least we can all sort of see something starting to brew. It's been a thankless task being a fan of this rotten club for what? 5 seasons now? So we all know the difference between losing woefully and losing with a little spark of something stirring. I just want to see something that smells a little better. And I think we will.

I agree dino football peaked about 20 years ago back when every league was full of world class players, the likes of Vinicius wouldn’t get in that galactico side it’s definitely technology that’s done it, kids gone from playing out every day 60+ hours of football a week to one hour a week training and a match at most.

If mykolenko is a wing back i'm the pope, he can’t dribble for toffee (literally) and his crosses aren’t up to much either. He’s more of a full back for me does ok in the odd 1v1 but is slow and not premier league level for me.

How did he play dyche tactics Luke? We had 50% possession compared to our usual minus 30 and hardly played long balls. The only thing that was the same was the lineup but maybe he was seeing how they perform with a different tactical setup before binning them?

Our central players are actually decent, pick any two out of centre backs I’d personally go obrien and branthwaite, gana and mangala are decent in the centre of the park and Pickford is a top gk.
The problem is we have crap full backs and wingers, we sign two new full backs and two new wingers I believe we’re a different team, most team’s creativity comes from out wide, just look at the red lot. Trent Salah Robertson Diaz, it’s our wide players which are the problem, sort that and we will be fine.
