Newcastle working hard and looking well up for it tonight. I feel a bit more reassured that they can and should turn Burnley over on this showing - and what sort of mood will Arsenal be in on Sunday if their CL hopes are all but out the window after tonight?

Surely means the opposite regarding Arsenal. They’ll be going all out to beat us and hoping for a spurs banana skin against Norwich. Think this makes the palace game even more vital.

2.) 16 May 2022 22:02:45
I'm with Yorkblue. They needed to win Sunday even if they won tonight but would have been going into the game with confidence. Now they aren't, and if spurs can get an early goal that could potentially create negative/ despondent atmosphere at the Emirates. Ultimately it's up to us to perform and do what we need to do but I certainly don't think tonight's result is a bad thing.

3.) 16 May 2022 22:03:37
Spurs only need a point. Arsenal are done.

4.) 16 May 2022 22:03:51
Don't see it that way Tmh, no way will Spuds slip up against Norwich, they'll hopefullybe 2 up at half time so if we're 0-0 at that point (by some miracle) then we may nick a point. (I am allowed to dream aren't I? )
Need to take all of the above out of the equation by beating Palace on Thursday. I am going 2-0 with Richy and Gordon to score.

And forgot to mention the crowd, who were absolutely immense throughout. Loved the Bearpit atmosphere. More of the same please.

{Ed0666's Note - I completely agree the crowd were next level.

Made the trip up to Goodison today and have to say that’s one of the best atmospheres I’ve experienced. Immense support today.

What a performance Blues! Mina, Seamus and Pickford all immense at the back and with a bit more of a cool head at the other end from Myki and Gray we might have grabbed a couple more goals. Leeds are well and truly in this dogfight now. COYB UTFT.

Quote from my Leeds mate at fulltime who has been denying there In trouble all along 'were in trouble now! ' hopefully we can get in there heads and let them bottle it.

2.) 01 May 2022 21:14:13
I think if we are going to stay up, it will be at Leeds expense rather than Burnley’s.

Really not sure why Richy is getting stick on here. Tries his heart out, runs for 90 mins, gets the rubbish kicked out of him, but always gets up and goes again. He loves us too, his reaction and his 80 yard sprint along the touchline when Iwobi scored against Newcastle says it all. The one potentially world class player we have.

Agree York, I was not his biggest fan but the last few months he has worked his socks off.

2.) 07 Apr 2022 22:07:21
Richarlison is great.

3.) 07 Apr 2022 22:38:03
He’s our best player by a million miles. Endeavour outstrips talent and as a club we’re lacking in both; however, Richarlison is by far and away head and shoulders above anyone else in both. Whatever happens now, he will be off.

4.) 08 Apr 2022 00:26:03
Absolutely! Some are gunning for our best players. The blame game is a fickle one. We all know this is a problem 100% at the door of FM. Richy is a crazy player for us and would walk into any team in the league. His work rate is bonkers. It took 30 minutes for one of the commentary team to finally give him praise, he was everywhere from defending corners to picking up tackles where a wingback should be working. He can't do it all unfortunately. If we had 11 of him we'd win the league. Attitude on the pitch is 2nd to none.

5.) 08 Apr 2022 04:38:41
Too true Brownshoes.

6.) 08 Apr 2022 04:50:12
He does everything right until his last moment then his head goes a bit and it’s this last moment when the top top players make the right decision, either to shot, pass and stay calm, Liverpool’s 3 strikes are a geat example of this decision making at the last moment.

7.) 08 Apr 2022 06:03:04
He's only 24 Uran and will get better.

8.) 08 Apr 2022 07:15:51
I never said he wouldn’t, maybe in a different team with better quality players around him then we would probably see a different Richarlison, I like him but for the few things I have mentioned previously
I am only giving my opinion what I see currently and at the high level of the top Premiership strikers.

9.) 08 Apr 2022 07:16:41
Agree with all the above. I'll be gutted if he goes but can't blame him at all. He's a top player that deserves to play somewhere with chance of success and trophies, but his workrate, commitment and passion whilst he's been blue have been phenomenal.

10.) 08 Apr 2022 07:59:01
Agree TD. Just wish we we had another 10 or so like him in the squad

Our job as supporters would be so much easier.

11.) 08 Apr 2022 10:54:14
Honestly Uran It's obvious to me from his body language he doesn't trust many of his team mates as a better option, but he does attempt too much I agree. Watch him for Brazil he passes a lot more. Even the season with Carlo, he still didn't really look confident in DCL, actually often looked surprised as DCL banged em in. He does seem to like Gray and Gordon but he clearly feels he has to do it all, and that's unfortunately his only negative, because its blunting his own game offensively. When he moves, we will get sick of seeing his up surge in form and effectiveness. He won't have to defend so much and will be able to rely on quality team mates, perhaps he may only be a 3rd or 4th best player for his new team? Then he will push on his progression as a player. And I'm sure the moaners here will be slaughtering him for not showing those attributes for us.

Great post Tedster. For me it is about Watford away. If we lose there, when pretty much everyone else has won there, including Burnley today, then we probably deserve everything we get!

Been saying it for weeks now.
Forget Burnley, if we stay up it will be at Leeds expense. Their run in is horrible and we just need to dig deep. UTFT KAGS.

Great post London, you have to ask yourself will that stadium actually get built if go down? Players will leave in a fire sale, debt will increase, FFP will nail us, just cannot see a way back if we don't get out of it somehow.
