Holgate and Dowell out on loan, Dowell yet again. I rate both players but Holgate in particular as RB and CB, not as tall as Mina but doesn't make as many mistakes as we saw from Mina against Brighton. Just my opinion peeps.

Sat right by that cross Wakka, after all the floating ineffective crosses DCL had all game a combination of inexperience and naivety meant he was just not ready or expecting it, Tosun was still on his heels having just come on. As to Tosun, delivery had been so bad all game that when he came on they carried on the same. The bloke tried to make things happen, even coming out of the area for the ball, which was exasperating. Even so he had the two best chances and one if we had been quicker to react could have been the equaliser. As some others have said, I would persevere with him for a few games, the goals will come.

Not what you spend Berkshire but who and what calibre you buy. You raise City but before Fair Play (whatever that is supposed to mean) , it didn't matter a jot to them or Chelsea (before Abravomic had enough) . As one of the Ed's says, you really need to understand how the system works. All I know is that since Moyes, I think I am right no Manager has had a better win percentage. Indicates two things:- A. Money is not always the answer and B. The best thing for an owner is to seek certain (as near as damn) good advice. All I have seen is an owner/ Chairman allowing the fans to influence their thinking and reaction. This is a multi-million/ billion £/ $ business it needs head above heart. The only exception (maybe) is City, with undefined deep pockets. Whoever the person is under the moniker of Ed002, they speak very good sense. We finished 8th last season and that was down to Alardyce and nobody else. The bloke is professional, doesn't have to love his employer, just do his best job and he did that. If you want to win or more importantly not lose, you first of all have to protect what you have and to achieve that, you have to work damn hard. I will be there tomorrow as I am/ have been at all home games with the exception of illness/ holidays and far more important than a game, Family, for some many years, as usual heart will be in mouth, all intelligence of thought and sense will depart and the will for my Team to win forego everything else for some 2 hrs. COYB.

To be fair Mr Brands and Mr Silva were given a good budget pre-season and on the whole brought in some good players. What I do like is at least these two, do seem to want to bring through the young talent of our own. What I don't like is Mr Silva's decision making, he also appears (which I thought he would not do) to have favourites no matter what their form. As some others have mentioned our right hand side can be awful and this was another one of those awful days. Coleman loves this Club and kudos to him, but the lad has lost pace and without it, his head down bull through game is next to useless. He also has Walcot in front of him also blowing more cold than hot these days. I think that we have to accept this Season as a write off, plainly Mr Silva is going nowhere, even if we finish in the bottom half. Be there again on Tuesday, start New Year off with a good win and all will be forgotten until the next game LOL.

Johnny you were there lad, you saw, heads dropped. Since Moyes has gone (not having a go at the bloke by the way) , something has been missing. Mess up in one game, next game eye balls out and up yours attitude prevailed. This lot gave it rocks against Liverpool, lost to a never give up fighting goal and it appears heads have gone since. Moyes, Fergie, go home lads think about it, get it out of your system, come back here and work.

Two most effective for me on the left Singing the Blues (my opinion) are Lookman and Richarlison, of the three Bernard is the most adaptable to play on the right. I would like to see us address the RW in this Window as a priority, would then have more balance and thus more threat. Having said that, wasn't the reason we got Walcot so quickly and relatively easily because he (Walcot) saw himself more central with a desire for freedom to move across the front. Alardyce to be fair did seem to give Walcot that freedom but since Silva, Walcot plays more the traditional RW format.

With the best will in the World BigH, I can honestly see us beating only two of them.

What's the difference between Bernard and Richarlison playing on the right. Move Richarlison from the left where he is most dangerous to a RW berth where he will be less effective and arguably then leave our LW also less effective and weaker. What we need is a balanced approach. Everton have made their bed with Silva, now we have to live with it. Remember the famous saying 'why is it always me', I would adapt that to Everton and state 'why is it always us'. From illegal approaches to downright no due dilligence and ill advised appointments, you could not make it up. But after all that us mugs, yes me will be there again come Saturday. Jeez why did I sign up for dry January. Oh and we are currently 11th.

Made a couple of good saves on Tuesday to be fair. Mind you also a couple of mind gone blank run outs from the goal, which brought heart to mouth, so I see what Ed025 means.

Up to a point I agree with you. But surely you are not advocating change all 11 players of the first Team. Millions has been spent already, last two games (since injury) Gomes has been off the pace, Richarlison (since Liverpool) has been out of form, chucking himself on the floor (Grandson - an erstwhile CB and Liverpool supporter, came with us yesterday, wanted to watch Richarlison (wants a Brazil shirt) , spent part of the game yelling at Richarlison to get up (bit harsh at times but 100 percent correct at others) . There has to come a point where you ask why are these players out of form, Training/ tactics/ trust/ confidence! bottom line it has to come down to the coaching.
