Any update on Lukaku or was Dominic King leading us up the garden path, what about Juventus are they out of the running now, it's not saying anything on ssn about Lukaku to us surely if the deal is close they would have picked up on it, maybe just calm before the storm.

{Ed002's Note - Juventus has spoken with Chelsea yesterday but have yet to make an offer.}

Martinez is looking likely to land Lukaku and possibly in the next 48 hours. I know there have been numerous 48 hour periods mentioned but as far as I am concerned I will be more than happy if it is true.

Thanks ed but do you have info on Evertons dealings with Lukaku? Fee agreed with Chelsea, terms reached with him or anything?

{Ed002's Note - Everton has not made any offer to Chelsea and I doubt they would be stupid enough to tap the player up. Everton would need to either include Ross Barkley in a deal or find a significant amount of cash for any deal to happen. Chelsea will not want to sell him cheaply despite wanting him moved on.}

They would have to offer cash and rom for ross

The journo who published the story is surely being fed info by the agent (and maybe the player) and also by the clubs as they all "dance" around the negotiating table. I've little doubt that Chelsea want big money and/or first dibs on the likes of Barkley or Stones. I've also no doubt that Everton haven't got the money (at least up front) and don't want to involve players (even on a "first dibs" basis) in any deal. BK might have a good relationship with the Chelsea people, but business is business and we clearly haven't got close to tempting them to let Lukaku go (either permanently or on loan again) - and that's even if he actually wants to come back to us!
Besides, just because the original story has been repeated throughout the media, that doesn't make the story any more valid - it's still just a rumour imho. There are very few stories that come from several different (let alone independent verifiable) sources - most stories/rumours (especially those on websites or in social media) seem to be repetitions of one original story.
