. not sure I liked the sound of James McCarthys comment in an interview he's just given about being flattered by interest from Man Utd.& he goes on to say "we'll see what happens". I hope the press are playing with words here.always saw him as our next club captain in years to come. by the way folks, what about 'Emineke'?!? Available for around £16 million apparently, looked decent in the World Cup.could be a viable alternative to Lukaku if we don't get him! :)

Zacki lad, c'mon he didn't even even score and ran to the corner flag like his Mum was knocking flapjack. I wouldn't have him for 2mil

Cheap journalism. The (Manchester) Guardian was reporting earlier 'Barkley to Manchester United'. That one just got nailed

Emenike? The guy that has been accused of lying about his age and match fixing? The one that looked utter dross at the WC? Rather stick with Kone.

Like RM has often said, the interest in our players by the wealthier, big-spending and recently more successful (i.e. Champions League qualifying) clubs is a compliment to how well our players and our team have done.
Also, like RM has often said, we're not under financial pressure to sell our players and any that do leave will be because RM makes a football decision to let them move on.
IMHO, it's more likely that McCarthy will get an extended contract here than be transferred.
