ssn have slashed the odds on James McCarthy joining Manchester United to 1/3. No news coming from the club on this one and I hope it is not true. It could be Ryan Ledson's or Connor Grant's chance to step up though if it happens with money being reinvested into attack and a top notch centre half

{Ed025's Note - lets hope not andy...i know i keep saying it...but selling your best players is a very slippery slope mate..

Gotta say it's absolute rubbish. Not a chance of McCarthy going to Utd, or anywhere for that matter.

I've just re-read the interview with JMc from earlier in the week and really do think it's sky being naughty. martin lipton seems to have some kind of obsession with trying to rock the good ship Everton and looks like he's at it again.

{Ed025's Note - im with you azul..

I think there is a lot of media people out there with a hidden agenda against Everton Football Club to be honest . The so called media darlings will always carry the headlines, and let them have it . i'm sure Roberto has no plans to let one of our best young talent in McCarthy leave . He is trying to build a team to compete with the best so why would he be prepared to let him go . Hopefully our results this season will make everyone sit up and take notice instead of us constantly being overlooked which too be honest isn't a bad thing .

We shouldn't be entertaining selling our first team players anymore, especially not to a Premier League competitor

Let us not forget that Sly had us at 1/5 to sing Caulker not so long ago. And what happened there then? Can't see McCarthy going anywhere.

{Ed025's Note - good point stevie..
