We don't announce it to the World, agents and representatives do though. It's their job. What Everton do though is dither or go in with derisory offers.

Most teams would make lower offers

TomTom, if we stopped messing around and low balling they'd be a danger of having an offer accepted. I think the point is to promote the "we tried" line of nonsense so if we made proper offers and looked to get things done efficiently it'd be a real spanner in the works.

You can say we dither but Everton need value for money and to be careful with what is spent.

The blank cheque approach hasn't work well the past decade so I for one am happy it's not continuing. We might miss out on him, and if we do its on to the next.

And the next derisory low ball offer you mean. Making a respectful and realistic offer is not blank cheque. But whoever it is at Everton that thinks it is a good idea to low ball is not acting intelligently.
