Koeman, must be wondering, just where all this support for his project has disapeared to, on a net spend basis, we have spent virtually nothing, yes the fees were high, and am sure the wage demands were also, but without european football to offer, that was always going to be the case, chicken and egg, we have to get european football to get top players to come, and to get player who could get us there we were always going to have to pay a premium price.

The problem wasn't the money aspect. We bid £18m for Kone, £20m for Gabbiadini, £30m for Sissoko and £34m for Brahimi. Sissoko wouldn't answer Ron's call is that really our fault? We don't want to be ripped off and buy any old player just to appease you and the portion of the fanbase who just can't see the bigger picture about what is going on at the club. I'm glad Koeman doesn't think like this or we would end up with a crap manager again like Martinez. We've made many improvements on and off the field and I expect us to continue to improve.
