The reality is we're a poor side yet on paper probably the best outside the top 6 hence we finished so far above 8th last season (Take a look at last seasons table) .

What has happened is we're now closer or in the thick of 'the rest' which are a bunch of bang average sides at best of which we we're (possibly still are one of the worst "Teams") .

The shambles of the Koeman and Martinez era's are not a quick fix at which we may flirt with the top six. This is not Big Sam's mess so let's give him chance to see what he can do. He knows it's his biggest club and opportunity.

That is a great summary mate. I am afraid we are still reliant on players from the Moyes' reign. Baines, Coleman, Jags, Barkley (when fit) , Mirallas and even the return of Rooney. Out of this bunch we have a player returned for a swansong, one who wants to leave asap, 3 on literally their last legs and one who has an attitude that let's say does not mean he will be picked often! That is a total of 6 players still involved with the first team. We are many years on from Moyes, but the squad (Lukaku excepted) was reduced in quality during Martinez reign. Koeman seemed to be doing alright and then had the most horrific transfer window that ended up with us signing so many number 10's and not off loading the one desperate to get away. So my summary, is that the problemgoes back 4 seasons and we never got the calibre of kids in to succeed those players and now that we do have some decent kids signed, we are having to throw them in at the deep end. None of this letting them blood slowly and stuff. Just straight into a team that is unbalanced and lacking players with the ability to run at defenders. Bolasie should help on that. As Lennon does. And when Coleman is back. he too should help. I think we are treading water until Big Sam gets a couple in. Then we can start moaning if things are not improving.
