Today, I have been watching the post office being being held to account by a parliamentery committee. It has exposed there lies, avations and twisted half truths, and for the people who have been the victims of this dishonest organisation, they may begin to see some justice.
I truly believe that the premier league should face a similar investigation, these people are are dishonest, arrogant, self appointed, and would not know the truth if it stood up and bit them.

Anyone got Mr Bates number?

What would they be investigated for?

{Ed002's Note - It is simply ignorant rubbish I am afraid.}

The harshness of the penalty for 1.

The Premier League did not set the penalty.

Corruption Bunkbeds. Mr Bates might ask why the sneaky 6 got fined about £2.50 each for trying to join a European Super league which would have destroyed the Prem financially and as a spectacle. We got deducted 10 points for much less of a crime. Mr Bates might ask why a former Leeds employee was on a so called independent commission when his former employees are looking to sue us. Mt Bates might ask why it has taken so long to deal with City when we have been done twice. I'll sit back now and await a sarcastic reply from ed002 calling me an uninformed thick Evertonian. UTFT.

{Ed002's Note - (a) The clubs reached a settlement with very significant suspended fine and suspended 30 point deduction - it won't stop it happening eventually. (b) Everton were aware of the chances of a points deduction as they knowingly broke sustainability rules - and of course they have now done it again. (c) Which ex-Leeds employee is that - and Leeds are actually not one of the clubs involved in seeking compensation from Everton - and the Commission is independent of the Premier League who did not chose their membership. (d) Everton have not been "done" twice, but once - at a later date, after the appeal is dealt with, Everton will have the chance to be "done" again. A date has been set for the Manchester City hearing - this is not directly a matter for the Premier League either.

The problem is that you have largely become a misinformed mob working off Twitter and nonsense regularly being shared here.}

Yes I know who set the penalty the people who were selected by the Premier league.

{Ed002's Note - They were not selected by the Premier League. The level of knowledge remains astoundingly low.}

Suspended fine, suspended point deduction Sat's it all.

I have read journo's comments, some prominent people of authority and got swept away with their and my frustration. So I read the premier league handbook. I also looked up who appoints the Commission and who appoints the person that appoints the commission. Guess what, turns out to be the Premier League Clubs. Everton messed up big time. The only complaint we can have is the harsh penalty. If that is dealt with fairly, I personnely hope the second charge doesn't actually progress further than the referral stage.

{Ed002's Note - The Chair of the Judicial Committee appoints the Independent Commissions membership.}

Big reg

The 'big 6' didn't actually do it though did they?
Man City is very different with multiple cases to answer/ investigate.

Everton broke the rules, deal with it mate. Yeah the punishment seems harsh, hence the appeal.

Personally I think these conspiracy theories are wrong. Next we will be hearing the PL bosses were the ones to flatten the Earth.

Thankyou. I missed that bit out. The Premier League Clubs appointed the Judicial Chair? So in the end it comes down to the Clubs themselves!

Bunkbeds I can deal with it. We broke the rules and quite rightly should be punished. The snidey 6 wanted to do it and were stopped by fans reaction. Fans mattered then but we don't now. We've done nothing wrong but are being punished more than anyone else. Your last comment is pathetic by the way.

We have done wrong, we broke the rules.

{Ed025's Note - we have Bunkbeds and i have no problem with punishment...but it has to be proportionate and fair mate, i believe we have been scapegoated and made an example of personally, it will be interesting to see how the others who have strayed get on..

So why do we get punished and not receive a suspended points deduction? Why is it different?

I think most of us believe that ED.

As you can see from my prev post ed25, I agree its harsh, hence the appeal.

I just don't get the conspiracy theory that it's the league that have screwed us over, not when the owner and his board are the ones to really have a pop at. They are the ones that made the financial decisions, with all the relative info at their fingertips, yet they didn't think about the ffp and how it could affect the club. Either that or they just didn't care.

We overspent and it doesn't really matter by how much, we knew the rules but still didn't get our house in order and have given them more ammunition to fire at us. Was the original punishment excessive? Too right it was but that could change after the first appeal is heard.

FM needs to stay away from the club and sell up quickly but that might still pose us more problems down the line. I don't particularly want this 777 group to own us, out of the frying pan into the fire springs to mind, so hopefully those pesky premier league people can do us a solid and knock back their offer!

We can hope, anyway. We are sailing too close to administration for my liking and this can't carry on too much longer. We need the league to let 777 know either way asap, if only to let others come in and save us. It's going to be a rough ride for the next few seasons, especially if a points deduction relegates us, the championship is also very stringent with their financial rules and that isn't very good news for us. UTFT.

I am willing to be corrected. The Chairman of the Justice Panel was elected by the Premiership Clubs? The Chairman (Justice) forms the panel. The Chairman (Justice) elects the Commission Chairman, he Commission Chairman elects the Commission Panel. I also read somewhere that the Clubs agreed that punishment for PSR breach would be points deduction. I am not asserting this EDs but am I right? If so and to give clarity, it is the Premiership Clubs themselves that created this system. Pheeewwwww!

My personal opinions aside. Everton's offences compared to city's are far more simple. or city's offences far more complex.
