So in the last hour seen we’re about to sign Jesse Lingard until end of the season and we’re about to be hit with a 15pt deduction.

Anyone know if either are true?

Is the 15pts on top of the 10 or includes the 10 we already have?

Don’t want Lingard and certainly don’t want another points deduction. Haven’t settled the bloody first one yet.

Don't think i'm actually bothered anymore, can't see anything changing in football for a long time .
They will keep on paying high wages and transfer fees and we won't be able to compete along with all the other teams outside the top 6
Think I'm going to give it all a miss untill something changes but doubt it it will, money talks,

They need to sort the appeal out first before they can deal with the second charge.

Hit with a 15 point deduction for what? We can't be hit with anything else until the second hearing has taken place which will be after the appeal hearing is resolved.

The second charge can be dealt with before the first appeal. They are for separate accounting years and the second charge includes the year for the first charge.
The punishment has been set and taken off our total, that won't change until the appeal is heard.
The club aren't disputing there has been a breach they are disputing the harshness of the punishment which will have no bearing on the second charge.

If the club think the second punishment is correct and fair then they won't appeal. If it is deemed excessive I am sure they will appeal it. Likewise if they question the breach they will appeal that.

They might be for separate accounting years but the transgression is the same, so I think it would be in the interest of the entire league that the second charge is considered once the outcome of the appeal in known.

Don't know about the extra 5 pts but I did read (same article! ) . That Everton have been reducing their wage bill in order to show they can practice prudence. Another Journalist/ writer then says that a fine suits billionaire owners, a points deduction is right and a transfer ban is ridiculous. I think the last statement should be reversed. Surely a transfer ban encourages development of our own.

A points deduction punishes the fans and puts the entire club in jeopardy. No one denies that we’ve been mismanaged, but when will common sense prevail.

Read a comment (journalist) that the next punishment would be a disastrous transfer ban. I take the opposite view. A transfer ban for this current we are appealing would have made more sense. I read somewhere that the points deduction for PSR infractions was one the Prem Clubs agreed.

I thought the maximum punishment was a 12 point deduction?

We’ve already received 10 and I heard the Prem were asking for 6 points for both us and Forrest.

The Prem have agreed that their rules are not fit for purpose and are being changed in August to come into line with UEFA/ FIFA

This is in line with our case of being hit with a double jeopardy being charged with 75% of the offence we’ve already been punished for.

If as i stated above the prem are asking for 6 points deduction for Forrest on their first offence then it would indicate that our 10 points may get reduced to 6

Do the Ed’s know if the 75% of the first charge that is subject of the second charge is 100% of the second charge or there is an additional 25% of misspending in the new years covered?

Hope that makes sense .

Thanks in anticipation.

{Ed002's Note - They are entirely separate matters. They will hear the appeal and then do the second charge where Everton will need to explain why they failed to action knowing they were in breach. Nottingham Forest will attempt to reach a settlement.}
