We must not sell Onana at any cost for the next two years. We were very fortunate to sign him. His value will only increase. Being shrewd in the market is not just about finding low price good players but also about holding onto what we have also.

In two years this player will be close to the money that West Ham are receiving for Rice.

Currently we are signing one good player to every five or six bad ones. So we need to hold onto the good ones for as long as we can right now. This guy is the real deal. We definitely have a mid field giant in the making.

IMO Onana is not worth £50m at this moment in time he just about warrants the money we paid for him and I can't see Moyes wanting to spend that amount of money on an unproven player. I think Moyes is to astute to take a risk of £50m when he could get players with similar potential for a tenth of the price.

Moyes wanted onana and may bed Everton's valuation however we said he would get more game time. he's had a year in Orem and by all accounts impressed although I didn't see it.
West ham will check his availability and make a bid.

Why would Onana join a club who also flirted with relegation with their £105m player. They won’t pay huge wages for sure and Onana doesn’t strike me as a money grabber. The whole thing makes no sense to me at all.

The reason Rice and Mount are valued more than Onana, they are both older, England Internationals, and played in the Premier League all there careers. Given Onana progress same as the last 2 years for the next 2, he too would be valued equivalently. Also Onana played his 1st season in Premier League in a very poor team. We should keep him and sell when worth more next year if we need to.

Any sale before the 30th would of improved the financial accounting for the previous season along with the Gordon money, been and gone so no point for any further discussions.
