A website in Portugal states what is probably already known in that apparently VP has been offered a 2 year extension to his Porto contract but is taking time to reflect. The phrase used translates as him deciding in "the near week"-not sure if this means end of this week or next (probably next bweek) The article also mentions the speculation over his link with Everton. Make of it what you will but at least he hasn't publicly agreed to a stay at Porto yet!
On line translators change his name to "Pear Tree" by the way-now where's that partridge?

Christophe Henrotay, who claims to represent Vitor Pereira, has told press in Portugal that Vitor's future will be made clear in the early days of next week after further discussions with FC Porto.

A bit more fuel for the fire comes from a European site earlier today-translation below. The translation is an on-line automatic one so reads badly but I think the gist is clear enough.

"Yesterday afternoon, the leader of Wigan, Dave Whelan, has come to take for granted the way of Roberto Martinez to Everton, but the Toffees through the club's official website, issued a statement denying such news, and ensuring that the job coach, left open after the departure of David Moyes for Man United, are still open.

On the same day it became known that Vtor Pereira rejected the invitation to renew Pinto the Costa with FC Porto. Everton may have revived interest in the technician who was crowned Portuguese champions. "

Actually I think you'll find that you make yourself feel like that-Everton don't make you do anything-you are in control of your own emotions.

Just read another article which says that he has declined to sign a new contract because he does not feel that the club wants to move forward-mention also made of Porto making anouncement of new coach on June 12th

Yes, I read something similar although my interpretation was that the club chairman was not able to disclose the identity of the new coach until 12th June. Of course the new coach could be the old coach!
