ed? do you think there could be any chance of anything more than a GK this window, I think we will also need a LM and a CB jags is past it now surely
{Ed025's Note - i would not think so mate..
1.) We do need a strong centre back who commands the box as we are being caught out time and again with crosses into the box. Our defenders don't attack the ball and are all over the place when it comes to free kicks and corners into the area. Someone like shawcrss who is good at winning headers and clearing into row z!!
{Ed025's Note - i dont think he quite fits the roberto total football mould to be honest mondo..
2.) I know what your saying but we have been terrible all year with corners and free kicks into the box. Is is that we play zone defence and don't pick anyone up or what? If we had a big centre half like for example Shawcross (or someone like him) to win headers he can easily pass 3 yards to his left or right to Coleman, baines or stones - surely to God he can pass the ball 3 or 4 yards!

I agree shawcross would be perfect martinez needs to swallow his pride and realise this is the type of defender we need
