just a thought here not a rumour, let's say we have 10 -12 mill to spend on a player, that player would probably want 60-70k a week so instead if utd want felli ask for a swap for rooney we would then have 70k of fellis wages still 10 -12 mill and the 70k we don't have to pay the new player, that would mean we could pay rooney 140k per week and then maybe swap jelavic for diame meaning were not short in midfield. and in my opinion only lost a player who wants to go and an out of form player but replaced them with probably the biggest publicity stunt the club could make plus making the team stronger. all ifs and buts I know but what are your thoughts ed? {Ed025's Note - i would love him back frank, but this is the real world mate, not going to happen..

Rooney is not coming back yet, maybe his next move is more realistic. Would love him back, but whilst Stretford the pimp / agent is responsible for him, it will always be about the best deal and not Rooneys love for Everton. He did it with us, although we probably needed the fee, and he will do it with Chelski.
In the meantime, Gibbo looks like he will be pivotal this year the way RM plays. Concerned that as he is a bit injury prone we need at least as good cover for him.
Think we are in for a decent season, but please give RM at least a couple of years to improve the club bottom to top, he is not just here for the first eleven.
If he is allowed this time from the fans (sure he will be) then I think combined with Fair Play we will be looking at Everton challenging the top 4 without having to spend mega bucks that we haven't got.
This is my hope / plea to fellow blues.
