Echo reporting we are waiting till the end of the season till we open talks with Hibbert, Osman, Gibson, Pienaar and Mattioni. 3 have been very good servants to the club but surely we need to move forward and let them find pastures new clear them off the wage bill and bring through the youngsters and attract a few good additions then let's see what next season brings.

Surely Osman deserves a contract still a vital member of the squad.

Gibson and Mattioni may have something more to offer. Pienaar maybe a one year contract.

The other 2 were true blues and their commitment can never be questioned. Gave their all for the club. Some other role rather than playing yes. I wouldn't imagine either will be given playing contracts.

Good servants they have all been to the club, but time and tide waits for no man (as the saying goes) its time to move them all on, as we enter what hopefully is a new dawn.

Come the summer, we'll have 30 aged-over-21 players (that's our existing squad plus returning loanees plus youngsters turning 21) all of whom will be vying for a place in our 25-man registered squad for next season.
So, 5 of these 30 will have to go (by getting permanent transfers away or free transfers or longterm loans elsewhere) - and that's before creating space for new incoming players.
It looks like there'll be quite a turnover of the playing staff - and, hopefully, our improved finances will mean that any incoming transfers are top-quality players.
