Ed 02 what chances of Everton getting viktor gyökeres for me he is ideal striker for us should be our number 1 target if we can afford him.

{Ed002's Note - Viktor Gyokeres (S) Everton looked to him in the summer and they could look again as he is having a great season. Wolves interest will probably have gone with Cuhna signing but maybe they will return. Bournemouth offer an option. Leeds will look to him as a Bamford replacement and have approached Coventry with the signing of Rutter not impacting their interest. Coventry have resisted a sale up to now but you can expect him to make the move in the summer.

What type of money would Cov be after now they have learned they won't be in the PL next season now?

{Ed002's Note - It is unrelated to promotion, they expect him to leave regardless.

Do you think we have enough cash to spend to bring him in ed002 or will we have to sell first? Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - The club have severe financial issues and significant debt together with FFP problems. They need to demonstrate responsibility and raise funds through selling and cutting loose players on high wages. He is achievable.}

Thank you Ed002. 'Raise money through selling' that doesn't fill me with excitement. Only players we would like to keep are worth anything. Not too many of them either.

Ffp an absolute joke of a rule. Don't anyone tell me it's nothing more than a corrupt system just like var. Keep the top 4.don't let anyone else get close. Back in the 80s we didn't have ffp and no one went bust. Funny that isn't it?

Couldn't agree more Pauly2. Money talks as Kenny Rogers says. Obviously I don't know the ins n outs of the financial system in the PL.

However, my reading of it is that they are all at it in some way. Some more than others, some better at it than others and some better able to hide it than others. Obviously the more money ya have at your disposal the more options and power you have.

Unfortunately the combination of our club sticking out like a sore thumb due to how badly it was run, organised and managed. Along with the struggle of being relegated. That was one major issue.

The other being the alternative clubs that actually got relegated. Say what ya like our club did over spend and was pure stupid. But other clubs that reported Everton officially done it out of sour grapes. No other reason.

If we were relegated last season would we have been reported? I very much think not.

Plenty of other clubs managing to handle ffp and build capable squads outside the top 4, stop blaming the rules they are what they are. We have acted with incompetence and arrogance and that is the problem.

Not signing Coady was the first sensible decision of what I hope will be many this off season to rectify the situation. Assuming we stick with Branthwaite.

FFP is not the problem as such EFCONE, what is massively annoying is that the top 6 now have a massive headstart in all this as 3 or 4 of them was throwing money at it for years and have been getting the CL money in season after season. But now when other teams attempt to do same and break into top 6 it isn't the same.

Agree other clubs have to deal with this and are better ran and we have been woeful and reckless in our dealings but others were when they had the money come in, difference is they just went out and spent again.

Absolutely Mocker! The dog in the street knows Everton f'd up over the last number of years. But, the powers that be want to keep it that way. The power with them.

Been saying it for years NBTB, it's like giving them a 10mile start in a marathon. It's same with VAR, just seems to be in place to as you rightly say protect the top few.

Is what it is but definitely taken joy out of the game. Know people harp on say it levels itself over season and state ya Leicester's and Brighton's as argument deflectors but the top 6 is usually the top 6 earning/ takeover clubs with Newcastle now lined up to join.

Newcastle will have a job on their hands but do look like joining. Spurs seem to be slipping slightly. Always were at the wrong end of the "top 6". As brilliant as Brighton and Brentford have done. Can't see them ever improving any more than they already have. Be glad to be proved wrong if they do.

Yep see Newcastle and Spurs trading places especially once Kane goes Think Brentford will struggle next season. As for us we are years off. A season of consolidation and fire fighting to look forward to. Oh the joy!
