Morning Ed’s there are a lot rumours going around that we’ve submitted a third bid for Gnonto of £25 million either including or with ad ons and that Leeds have accepted following Gnonto submitting a transfer request.
I’m not interested in the money aspect just do you know if this move is now happening

Although he’s a good player I sincerely hope we’re not using what little money we have on another winger when we are just desperate for a centre forward.

There's rumours he's having 2nd thoughts anyhow, I'd rather focus on getting a striker in ASAP. I don't want us going into the international break pointless. Or wait for last orders deadline day to grab someone we didn't really want . So hopefully by next weekend we'll have a new striker in ?.

Genuinely can’t wait for this Gnonto saga to be over.

So many rumours that we’ve offered x amount, that we’re not actually in for him, he wants to come to us, he doesn’t want to come to us etc. all getting a bit boring now.

Clearly a decent player and the potential to improve but the reported £30m fee seems excessive, also there is very little noise about any other team in for him, which if he was that great you’d have thought there would be.

Personally want to see us pushing for a proven striker as that’s the one area we are significantly lacking.

Could all just be smoke and mirrors in regards to Gnonto, however would be typical Everton to spend all window chasing a player not to get him and then not actually recruit into a position we actually need.

Whilst we’ve signed Yousef, not sure he’s the answer to the striking issue in the short term.

Not sure how much truth is in it, but was reading on few sites that Gnontos ex club Zurich have a "exceptionally high" sell on fee Zurich's president was quoted as saying, believed to be 50%, if true that's incredibly high tho Leeds did pay just under £4million, not surprised trying to maximise their profit. Perhaps time to walk away as dragging on too much now and concentrate our focus and finances on a Goalscorer.

It’s typically us to chase an un saleable player for the whole window. We tried our best to get the lad in, smoke and mirrors, typical Bill’s theatrics, broja last year, Gallagher etc, not going to happen.
We have one main objective this window and it’s a no9 ready to go in. How many windows are we asking them same question, we about to play the second game, and dcl already played this week so unlikely play, so pint size back up top, might as well Chuck Keane up there ?.
So frustrating.

Hes refusing to play at the minute so regardless of the stance of being not for sale it makes no sense for leeds to keep him, at some point they will sell at a price they deem subitable. Unfortunately FFP means were limited to how mich we can push to outlay any amount of money.

That's exactly it DFS Leeds need it to look like they did all they could to keep him and after tonight when he's out a transfer request in I can't see anyway back for him.

I really hope we can finally get him in an Everton shirt by next week, he is the real deal, a no brainier of an investment in my opinion. He will be worth 50 next season.

He looks a decent player but his stats don't make good reading from last year. In reality we're stopping in the relegation Isle yet again.
