18m bid rejected for Bolasie according to a reputable newspaper. Going back in with a second bid. I rate the guy, would sort out our left wing, be a great signing.

1.) 08 Aug 2016 20:30:48
I hope we get him.

2.) 08 Aug 2016 20:30:48
1 massive problem there pal. no such thing as a reputable newspaper lol.

26 Jun 2016 18:56:20
Ed002, who are you? . You're like the Batman of this website, dark and brooding, but very proficient at what you do and nobody really knows who you are. Do you have a sidekick? .

{Ed002's Note - #WonderDogSparky.}

27 Feb 2016 10:07:05
A newspaper have just ran a story, it's Farhad Moshiri.

1.) 27 Feb 2016 10:18:58
It's in The Telegraph.

Usmanov has paid approx 200m for his Arsenal Shares

Roughly the same amount to purchase EFC
WHAT a coincidence.

2.) 27 Feb 2016 10:50:20
Yeah I did say the telegraph but it got changed to "a newspaper", do you work for the daily fail ed 😉

He's not super rich but I do like how it says Bill will still have a place at the club.

3.) 27 Feb 2016 10:53:40
Bk will be kept on as well which is a good thing. Get rid of the rest.

4.) 27 Feb 2016 14:46:42
Lets hope they do not keep Martinez on.

28 Aug 2015 08:01:02
I really hope this story about Stones fleeing his house after angry fans turned up and terrorised him isn't true, because that's really going to make him want to play for us isn't it!. Some fans are doing just as good a job of forcing him out than Mourinho is. I fear if this is true then Bill may have to sell him after all. It's just not on.

{Ed025's Note - if we did sell him now the clubs credibility would go right out the window gibbo, so he will stay but for how long is anyones guess. mind you those idiots, if its true, dont help at all mate..

1.) 28 Aug 2015 08:19:46
Yeah we would lose all credibility Ed my point is despite everything if someone was getting harassed at their home I couldn't let that go on and would have to let him go in response to that, everyone's entitled to work in a safe environment and I pray it's just not true. Fans should be ashamed of themselves if it is. Just forcing him out themselves.

{Ed025's Note - i agree gibbo mate..

2.) 28 Aug 2015 08:25:56
Just a small group of idiots linked to our club.cant blame chelsea the way they have tried to prize john stones away.think the FA could and should have done more over the way clubs are signing players under contracts.remember berbatov being at united before tottenham had given permission, they moan about poor england team when players have this hanging over them, bout time dyke and other cronies started telling people they run the game not there chosen top four and agents.

3.) 28 Aug 2015 08:49:35
Managers have come out last time and again this time. The transfer window carrying on into the beginning of the season is ridiculous, hinders pre-season and cannot help Managers plan their season strategy until we are into the 5th game.

4.) 28 Aug 2015 11:56:43
''I really hope this story about Stones fleeing his house after angry fans turned up and terrorised him isn't true''

So do I Gibbo, and there is a chance at least that it's some kind of exaggeration because TV news mentions the ugly lying red top as the source of this story.

However even a grain of truth is too much to contemplate as an Evertonian.

06 May 2014 16:09:44
Not really everton related but Man City to be fined 50m?! Blimey when they said hefty fines I just presumed it was UEFA's usual idea of a hefty fine, £100 and a slap on the wrist. Word has it that City are appealing that leaves them open to more severe punishment, here's hoping they take the hard line and chick them out of the CL, but I doubt they will, prob uphold the appeal!.

{Ed025's Note - all hot air from UEFA i think gibbo, i would love to be wrong, but history says im not mate..

1.) Unfortunately I happen to agree with you, only time will tell!. I suspect it's just UEFA propaganda.

2.) Platini has changed his mind about FFP since Monaco and PSG started throwing money around. He only supported it to try and stop the English and Spanish dominance in the transfer market.

{Ed025's Note - i agree rick..

3.) Not fussed about the 50 million fine but the player sanctions for the CL will directly effect our chances of getting Barry as they will probably need him and therefore him a new contract to make sure they have the right quota of homegrown players

I don't think I've ever known Everton fans to be so divided over a potential signing in Hart. In the some papers today a loan deal is being talked about and in others 30m minimum is the price, personally I think 30m is too much for a keeper of his quality but at 29 there's room for argument that he hasn't peaked yet. So I'm very much on the fence. Personally I'd be a lot more comfortable with a loan to buy, give us a chance to see how he does first and if he excels snap him up next window, but there's always the chance he'll up his stock again and end back at city so it's swings and round about's really. My question is to the fans unconvinced with him, would you be happy with him on loan or would you prefer to just give Stek a try in goal this season. I have a sneaky suspicion that unless we sell lukaku to Chelsea, they won't be doing a deal on Begovic with us.

1.) 19 Aug 2016 12:22:33
If we are going to spend that much on a keeper then why not bid for butland he could be our number 1 for 15 years! And he's already better than hart.

{Ed002's Note - Butland is of no interest to Everton and has signed a new contract. He is not for sale.}

2.) 19 Aug 2016 13:50:12
My preference is to give Stekelenburg at least till January but I would also be happy if Hart came in on loan with MC paying the majority of his wages and no loan fee but I can see that happening.

{Ed002's Note - That won't happen. You are living in a fantasy world.}

3.) 19 Aug 2016 13:55:31
Why everyone thinks Butland is some amazing Keeper is beyond me. He makes lots of errors and is too young for me as a Keeper. The best Keepers are those with experience who have learnt from their mistakes. If you look at Hart record, it is a fantastic CV, so much experience too in all competitions and Internationals. We won't get a better Keeper than him that will be available, any with records better than him will be tied down to ither Top Clubs or simply not for sale. Its a no brainer to go for Hart really.

4.) 19 Aug 2016 14:33:46
sorry ed not living in a fantasy world just having dyslexic tpying snydome. should have been can't see that happening not can.

{Ed002's Note - A little better sa90.}

12 Jun 2016 09:20:13
Not sure if we're still interested but it'll be interesting to see how Yarmolenko gets on today against Germany playing against some world class players. We'll be able to see if he really is as good as his swindling agent and chairman seem to make out.

{Ed025's Note - i have no doubt that the guy is quality gibbo, but as you say the baggage he brings with him puts me right off mate..

1.) 12 Jun 2016 14:19:23
Ed025: To be fair, pretty much all of what we read or hear about Yarmolenko - or about any other football situation - is in the media (traditional and social) and I doubt if the vast majority of us truly know what's going on or what "baggage" he'd bring with him. I've no doubt that his character as well as his talent will be taken into account by those clubs thinking about signing him.

{Ed025's Note - your probably right sid but i know we got messed about by them last season and they are difficult to deal with mate..

2.) 12 Jun 2016 23:07:43
The difference with this sid is that a lot has actually come out by the Charman and his agent. I think he's a good player but think he's going to be as much trouble as Lukaka and his crew are.

I just wish these agents would stay in the background. I don't mind them trying to get a move or bigger pay packets for their clients but they have to always drag it out in the press.

Lukaku's reputation with the fans is irreparable. If he goes in the right way people would have a lot more respect for him.

3.) 13 Jun 2016 00:37:34
What I saw tonight I don't think he's worth the money they are asking.

22 May 2016 18:31:26
Okay let's assume that Koeman is a no go, De Boer, Favre and Emery seem to be the managers we've spoken to or sounded out. Who would you all want to get in as manager? .

1.) 22 May 2016 19:39:09
Torn on this one. de Boer has won 4 titles in 6 seasons, but everyone says he is in a poor league (like koeman was) , emery has won Europa league 3 times off the trot, yet hasn't won away in league this season. Farve has took a near relegated team and transformed them into champs league and euro league, playing good football, good attack and solid defence. But I've seen on here, some saying he is just going to be a Christian Gross, judging by the fact he is Swiss obviously. So De Boer for me but whoever gets it, there will be moans on here.

2.) 22 May 2016 19:46:02
Favre for me.

3.) 22 May 2016 19:52:01
Emery has a history of saving teams from the rut and kicking on to new heights, imo it would be amazing if we pulled off either of favre or emery. fingers crossed.

4.) 22 May 2016 21:15:25
Each manager has their pros and cons, yes emery has had a bad season away from home but you can't argue with 3 back to back Europa league wins which I think is harder than 4 Dutch championships with Ajax, I worry that I've heard De Boer plays like Martinez but I haven't seen it myself. Favre has form turning a bad side around. At the moment I'd take Emery, Favre and De Boer as I think Emery and Favre have done well in better leagues with lesser teams.

5.) 22 May 2016 21:41:44
Emery, Favre, de Boer in that order because Emery has transformed the fortunes of two clubs at the top level and done it very quickly in both cases. Favre one massive transformation in a competitive league and had been brilliant wherever he's been. Would be happy-ish with De Boer though.

21 May 2016 17:12:28
Congratulations Stubbsy! Well deserved.

24 Apr 2016 07:36:02
I wasn't lucky enough to get tickets to Wembley but watching on the tv there was a point when the cameras showed the Man United fans singing their hearts out, but all I could hear, clear as day was "Everton, Everton", completely drowned them out and put them to shame with our passion. Our fans put in the best performance yesterday and just wanted to say well done to all of you who went yesterday, did the club proud.

{Ed025's Note - i echo that gibbo..

1.) 24 Apr 2016 08:45:39
Nice post Gibbo.

Yes and certain EFC decision maker (s) in the stands will have took note methinks or should I say 'me hopes'!

2.) 24 Apr 2016 09:02:02
Thought at times we did get behind the team but needed the players to inspire this.
Who was the idiot with the flare when we scored, and why was a young lad near him carried out at the same time he was waving it about, if he was the cause hope action is taken, I felt once tbe ref decided that we were aldo there and started giving us some fouls then we looked like we would have gone on to win. My veiws probably not everyone elses, good day out, poor result.

3.) 24 Apr 2016 09:21:38
The flare burnt a little girls top and hair she missed the rest of the game. Luckily she is ok.

4.) 24 Apr 2016 10:27:24
Glad shes ok. Hope the club treats her to a special occasion and the lad with the flare is punished for his actions.

5.) 24 Apr 2016 13:22:51
The difference second half was the fans really reacted to the teams efforts and the evertonians were magnificent and totally drowned out the mancs.

I think if united win the FA cup as well we'd get a spot too as they can't have 2 European spots. There used to be a rule that the FA cup runner up got the spot but I think that changed a few years ago.

Know what you mean, I was against fonte coming for as large a fee as he went for at 33, but Ivanovic will probably be a nominal fee with his contract up in the summer. Might tide us over if other targets aren't available at this time.

Muniain is actually a really good player, tore Man United apart when they played Bilbao 2-3 years back.

Just because we have a few bob doesn't mean we have a bottomless pit of money, still have to be smart with the money, maybe we have better options for half the price. I've spoken to a United fan who thinks he's crap so not overly worried about this one.

{Ed025's Note - me neither gibbo..

I think he's referring to various newspaper reports today saying that Deulofeu is looking to move on in January Ed. in other news, where's my batman pariscope and air hostess I ordered from you?! It's Christmas in 2 days you know! .

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of Everton looking to move him on but he moans a lot and is probably miffed at not playing regularly. The summer would make more sense.}

As soon as I saw crutiate ligament I knew it was bad. I just hope he's still got his pace when he gets back because some players just aren't the same again after this one. Gutted.

I am disappointed we didn't beat Swansea yesterday like the majority of us, I've read a few pokes at RK and the team in general but I truly believe we are subtlety turning the corner, let me ask you this, how many games this season have we got points from losing positions, be it a win or a draw. When last season we'd have just lost. Quite a few already! . certainly headed in the right direction.

Well I actually made Everton the most successful english team ever with 32 league titles and most successful team in Europe with 13 champions league and had a stadium named after me. Maybe I should get on the phone to farhad. 🤔🙄.
