The most telling stat from the derby is that Everton had 66% of their shots on target against Liverpool's 13% on target.

{Ed0333's Note - Im not trying to be funny here mate but Everton had shots on goal?

Well the penalty was one for sure. I that was the only one then it is 100%.

{Ed001's Note - you had 3 mate. One soft, almost pass back by Sigurdsson which Mignolet caught (which tells you how soft it was when he got near it, let alone catches it!) and one other in the 2nd half which missed, hence the 66%. One miss in 3. I am not sure how anyone can think that these stats are relevant, clearly someone who has no idea about the value of stats or how to read them. You need huge numbers of whatever it is being measured before any stat is truly relevant. You are talking about 100 games or so before you can rule out aberrations in the data, at least. Shots on or off target in one match is too small a spread to even have any relevancy other than mild interest from people who don't understand them.}

Ed001: the only statistic that really matters is the 1-1 result ;-)

{Ed001's Note - exactly.}

I am with BeStyrne on this. Everton had 66% efficiency with their shooting accuracy whereas Liverpool only had 13%. I would add that 19.78% of Evertonians know how to wind up Liverpool fans and Ed's with useless data and statistics.
