Witsel off to China, so that's another one we can move on from now.

We moved on from Witsel a long time ago. Journo's just kept regurgitating old news for something to report.

For Depay see Bolasie. Do we seriously want two one trick ponies in the team? On another note this Rudy guy looks a quality player, not just a defensive midfielder either. He's quick and can pick a pass.

Twoold2

{Ed002's Note - Depay does make very little sense - whereas Rudy would be a steal if Everton could spring this.}

1.) 22 Nov 2016 10:27:19
Think with ronnie going for depay sort of says what he thinks of the rest of wingers if we do get depay then think it's the end for mirallas and delboy as for Rudy he would be an excellent signing hope we go for Rudy's team mate sule he seems like a quality defender and would give us a commanding presence in defence as well.

2.) 22 Nov 2016 10:35:21
I'm the same bout depay. I'd still support him if he was to sign. I'd like to see Rudy sign and Sule too. Very highly rated in Germany by all accounts.

3.) 23 Nov 2016 17:50:01
Im split on depay. He hasn't done much at united but i still think he's an upgrade on what we have already. Given a run of games i think he'd turn out to be a good addition. Not seen much of ruddy but reading up on him he sounds like another good addition. Another 2 players i'd like to see us sign aswell is sule he's a monster and dolberg. He looks quality.

Strange how things can change in a week. After the Leicester game we needed six or seven new faces. Now with a win over city (and a very good performance I might add) we just need one or two.
Perhaps it's not about how many we need, but how we change the attitude of the players we have. Palace game is huge now if we are to continue building on all this positivity.
Otherwise the doom and gloom merchants will be out in force again. Wonder what they've been doing all week?

Agree lose to Palace and the doom mongers will be out in force.

2.) 18 Jan 2017 17:29:37
If we lose to palace then Koeman should be sacked. £400 million should be spent on players by Monday and the stadium must be up and available for Community Sheild match that we are playing in in May because we won the league. Minimum Expectations!

3.) 18 Jan 2017 20:03:24
Love it toffee. You forgot to say that Moshiri is a fraud though.

4.) 18 Jan 2017 20:29:20
What stadium?

I can honestly say I do not enjoy watching my team on Sly. We are simply one of the most boring teams in the Prem. We show nothing. Bournemouth lost to Arsenal, but where always in the game always having a go. Watford and Stoke both went at each other, made for an entertaining game.
Living abroad I only get to see a couple of games a season live, so normally get together with a few of the other exiles for a few beers and to watch the football. Sadly the last few times we have been on we end up getting the cards out, it's just so dull.
Sometimes to cure the sickness you have to remove the infected parts. That's what Everton need to do now, remove the old guard and play or bring in players who want to win, and more importantly know how to win.
Please do this soon as I hate to see my team, my club become the Prems whipping boys, and that's where we are headed.

I have watched this decline for quite a few seasons now. I got slated for pointing out our lack of creativity. Ido believe we signed average and below average players over the last 4 years. However, the margins between success and failure are small. Look at how the red lot look under their new manager. Same old team with a couple of sugnings and suddenly they are battering teams. We need the Jamuary transfer window to unearth a couple of gems. That is what Walsh was brought in to do. Let us pray!

2.) 28 Nov 2016 12:16:06
Klopp is with them a lot longer than Koeman is here. Patience things will get better. Koeman has kind of shot himself in the foot with the good start to the season. Once we got a bad run everyone is saying we are gone to hell. We'll still finish top half.

Add in we are heading in the right direction as a club. I'm not worried really.

3.) 28 Nov 2016 16:11:44
I am less worried than with Martinez in charge. but can still see a future goals problem. When Lukaku goes!

27 Nov 2016 17:22:13
This is seriously getting worrying now. It's a good job we got those points early on, because we are playing like a relegation side right now. Forget Europe we need to focus on staying in the Prem .

Can anyone tell me just what has Holgate done wrong not to be playing in the first team. I understand their is a need for experience, but experience counts for nothing if the players form is poor. In the games he has played in Holgate has let no one down. Personally I think he is a better defender than Mr Stones, but that's another topic.

1.) 20 Nov 2016 14:24:08
Hey

. in my humble opinion Holgate shld be slotted in alongside AW and Jags given the shepherds crook for now.

I have made the point Jagielka has been poor since the last World Cup, that is over 2 years. He gets caught out when with Everton and England and surely other managers have identified his weakness and play to it. Whilst having been a good servant for the club he has cost us a lot of points.

19 Nov 2016 23:15:34
After five games said we would finish between 12th and 14th place. However, this league is so bloody poor we could still finish top 10. Being currently 7th makes us look better than we are, which is bang average.

We've not got the sort of money the top 4 or 5 clubs have but please what money we have got let's spend some of it or are we going to sell before we buy.

{Ed002's Note - Everton has an investor who is willing to loan money to the club in order to assist in the purchase of players - he cannot simply give the money to the club, and the club are far from being in the financial position that Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are.}

2.) 20 Nov 2016 18:20:16
That's what I said we've not got there money. Looks like we need another investor to loan us some then.

{Ed002's Note - The real point is that money needs to be spent wisely on players who will improve the team - so the players chosen, regardless of cost is key.}

3.) 20 Nov 2016 19:14:16
It's not all down to cost it looks like some players don't like what RK is trying to do or there simply not good enough.

Get better players around him and next season he will be worth twice as much.

He won't pack in England until after the next World Cup. Or until they stop picking him. Whatever comes first.

You can foresee players getting old though mate. Would have thought this season would now be the perfect opportunity for blooding youth, if good enough of course.

NBTB it's all well and good but they can only get slower mate. One to two seasons max, then we have to have a plan b.
