So rumours are Gerrard wants Doucoure to replace Henderson at Al-ettifaq.
Bit torn on this one to be honest. I mean yes he's been one of our better players, but he's 31 now and our highest earner. Think if they made a good offer then we would have to let him go.

He had a hamstring injury but did play against Villa. didn’t play in the cup game but that might have been precautionary.
It would make sense if it was a reasonable offer, because as you say would help invest in the squad, and would be another big wage off the books.

We have to move forward by signing younger players on lower wages. He has been one of our better players this season, but I wouldn’t say he’s irreplaceable, and it we get a silly offer I’d take it.

What don’t you get about reducing the wage bill? Dacoure is our top earner . And as it’s already been stated he is not irreplaceable.

Think its a no brainer 31 years old i imagine he's on a high wage aswell and as ed 002 stated could give us funds to replace him with a younger player question is if we do sell where would we begin to look championship be good start also start sending are scouts ie Austria brazil denmark always a hidden gem somewhere just got to find them.

What do you not understand about our current situation? The guy is 31, yes he's had a reasonable season so far, but his passing is shocking and he is not irreplaceable.
We have to reduce the wage bill whether we like that or not, and this guy is a top earner. If we get a decent offer then he has to go. As for Keane, well we haven't sold him because nobody wants him.

If the money is right then he would have to be sold. It's time players in our squad earned their high wages and stepped up. Could Gomes, with a runof games, be worthy of no10 roll? Does everyone realise he is out only goal scorer. Who cares how old he is? Does more than onana when he’s having a bad day and onana plays the best he ever has! Onana should go for me as on the same if not bigger wages and will bring in a bigger fee. Can’t be that hard to find another midfielder who get no goals or assists and barely break up play, let just hope when we find him we don’t waste another £30m!

Exactly Woburn, our midfield don't score apart from Doucoure, DCL doesn't score in this system. If Doucoure goes then play beto alongside DCL. We need goals and an extra striker on pitch is better than a goal shy midfielder.

Decoure in the glue holding the team together look at the win ratio with him and without him in the team. He is also one of SDs go to men who can play a full 90+ mins and we all know how well SD likes to use his subs. Selling Decoure has major positives helps get us out of some of our financial issues but at what cost?

I can only assume anyone saying get rid of doucs for 15m doesn't actually watch the games. We've won 1 game without doucoure under dyche and that was villa in the cup just gone.

You lot seriously want to sell a player that we have not won a league game without?

We will lose a hell of a lot more than 15m plus his wages if we get relegated.

He's 31 but so what? He is buy far our most important player.

I'd rather sell onana, he wants a bigger club and has a much higher value and is not as important to the team (now before you all jump on me here, I'm not saying he is not an important player, but we've won games without him) . It just makes more sense.

Obviously I don't want to get rid of anyone who makes the first 11, but doesn't look like we have a choice.
