Clueless if fans think carlo is the problem.
If an right he had brought in 4 players and all 4 are possibly are best 4 allan, james, doucore, godfrey.
We have gota give the manger time at least 3 season to build a squad he is still stuck with a lot of the useless players other 4 mangers have struggled to get results with. Also injury's have been bad this season. Ill stand by the manger as i think he will bring quality in to blame him is stupid
Pep would struggle to get them few of the waste of spaces playing In r team. Also people are forgetting we are still in with a chance for europa tha would be a really good 1st season for a manger with average players.

To even be mentioned in the same sentence as Europe is itself an achievement, sure some players have bottled the big moments but they have been bottling them for years, this won't change and we will go over this old chestnut till the team has seen significant change, not just four players. I get the anger but we need support not bitterness.

Don't always agree with McNulty, but on this he is right. Lack of urgency and trying has been absent for weeks. Why do players show on the training ground but disappear once the serious stuff begins! Theirs is a job like any other and like any other of conscience you would think they would be genuine in giving of their best. Have to wonder if Carlo tells them a few home truths.

Just playing Devils advocate here, but of the 4 players we signed the 2 best are Dacoure and Godfrey - they were Brands signings. Pretty much the first time Brands had been left to make his own decisions too. He also nabbed Nkoukou. Allan and James have been good - when available.

Bill - problem is whatever they do they will get paid.

Until we put something like performance related pay in, we’ll always have the players who do the bare minimum.

Also in the changing room how do you motivate a room full of millionaires?

What we've been missing, probably since Neville left, has been a proper leader on the pitch.

I'm not saying Ancelotti is to blame because our squad is woeful. But interesting read on a major sporting website. "Since that good start, Everton have performed like a relegation candidate according to the underlying metrics. Only five teams have collected fewer expected points (xP) per game than Ancelotti’s side since the 20th of October. Over their last 25 Premier League games, Everton have averaged a pathetic 1.16 xGF per game.

Injuries have played their part, with Lucas Digne – a key creator – and James Rodriguez both missing time, but that doesn’t explain the negative tactics now deployed by Ancelotti. "

We've employed some weird tactics at times (think Newcastle away with the midfielders floating as full backs, Brighton away with a back 6) so I don't think Ancelotti is entirely blameless in yet another woeful season.

Is Carlo or his son picking the team and tactics?

There was rumour that his son was taking a more prominent role in tactics, training etc! If true surely unacceptable from a man on £11 mill annually.

It's been a strange season for every team but I wouldn't call it woeful. There's been some shocking performances and some good ones and, bar City, it's been the same for most teams. We're a point behind our total from last season with 8 games left. I don't think we will finish 12th or below, so that's an improvement on last season.
For the first time since Moyes left, we've got a manager that will be here for a good few years and will build something. So no more transitions and going back to square one. CA and MB will improve the squad over the next few windows so we have plenty to look forward to.
There's a new stadium on the horizon, we have a billionaire owner and his best mate likes to sponsor all things Everton. This mate also has a few quid to spend! It might just be me, but I think we're in the best shape we've been in for years and the future looks promising.

{Ed077's Note - Man City were very poor at the start of the season too.}

True enough, ed077, easy to forget with the way they've played in the latter part of the season.

{Ed077's Note - yes it seems to have been forgotten. City struggled for even longer time then us (Man Utd) to climb up the table. They just kept on winning once they got going.}

I suppose it helps having 3 players for every position, ed077, they were bound to find the right starting 11 in the end!

{Ed077's Note - and a top coach in Pep.
