Further to my post below it wasn't too long ago DCL got injured the goals dried up, and most of us on here me included reckoned it would all be fine when we had DCL back, well he's been back for 19 or so matches and still no goals, time is running out and it's up Everton to start scoring that's the only way to win matches put the ball in the back of the net, we stay as we are we go down we are at a stage in the season when something has to change starting with either Dobbin or Beto or both up front if it doesn't work we go down at least we gave it a try, as for DCL his confidence is shot those two great crosses from Mc Neil last game says it all.

GB,

Have you watched Haaland in last few games, he has literally missed more chances, big and half chances than Dom as missed in the 19 games.

This is a guy that's the world's best, it happens! Hojlund at Man Utd went 19 games before scoring in premiership now the lads on fire, Nunez wastes loads, thing with those 3 is especially Haaland and Nunez they have immense quality around them and the goals are shared around the team easing the burden.

DCL we all know is on a terrible run and extremely low on confidence but remains our best option imo for the way we set up, Dyche needs to changes tactics but in doing so risk our solid defence which as most fans we seem happy with, it ain't just the lads at the back that help this but leading from the front, I admit we seriously lack pace &:of late creativity and the basics of passing a ball.

We lack a Richy and Gordans of recent years, not necessarily the goals but their work rate, ethos and selfless running lifted the fans especially at home a lot of the time and sparked our team, I admit I don't see that within this team, without a return of Points via winning our appeal and the 2nd charge being successful I do believe we are down, didn't feel that way last 2 seasons but this season does feel different to me for a lot of reasons.

Dyche should go 433 Mocker. But we need more pace on left wing especially. Give Dobbin a go on the right and move Harrison over to his preferred position of left wing let them put crosses in for the striker using their favoured foot. Not all this cutting inside to use their favoured foot. Dyche needs to do something different because it's just not working atm.

We don’t have the luxury of these decent players you talk about mate but something has to change our defence and midfield are good but we are lacking up front, we have just over a Dozen games left just can’t see us staying up if we keep the same line up, we didn’t have a spare striker when DCL was injured we have two now.

I know we don't have the luxury GB that's the whole point. I agree that Dyche needs to try something different but in doing so he runs the risk of being exposed, what's the point of Dom scoring if we are losing and conceding heavy, catch 22 mate.

We have lost 1 in 5 and that being City away who we kept quiet for 72 mins and restricted to couple chances which they score from.

Also look at it another way if we hadn't have lost the points we would be sat comfortably and the fans wouldn't be analysing DCL, who without scoring has helped us in doing so with his work, we miss Doucoure big time and the points deduction as severely knock the team even if they say it ain't, the whole club is toxic ATM and like waiting for the funeral parade, this is obviously affecting Dom and others, Dyche needs to freshen it up admit but limited choices, Dobbin does need a run but then if doesn't pay off others will criticise Dyche for breaking up a time that looks solid in main but lacks cutting edge.

The appeal decides our fate 1 way or another, the waiting isn't doing anyone any good, fans players etc.

Agree with some of that mate but our football the other night was dire, if DCLs two great chances had gone in or any other of our players had taken those chances we would be over the moon, but hey it’s a game of opinions all I’m seeing are our games are running out and our forward line is broke we have the chance to fix it let’s at least try.

DCL is mainly feeding of scraps, especially in the air, he’s not the problem, the problem is a lack of creativity in the final third.

Nope not for me how many chances in the last 19 games,15 to 16 probably a lot more all missed.

Exactly Uran, the midfield is the problem, no pace no creativity, no runners off DCL. New shape required.

GB,

Of those 15 or 16 chances you state, how many were actually big chances, I can think of 2 or 3.

In your own words that's less than a chance a game, Haaland has had and missed that many in last 3 games. Also hard to take the goal off DCL other week and credit to Harrison

We would be 12th without the points loss, not too bad for a team with a striker who hasn't scored in 19 hey pal.

Wouldn't put either down as BIG chances GB, not glaring misses, half chances yes and you would hope does better and hits target but that's all he had in the game. Scraps.
