Cornet won't be signing. On bench for tonight's game.

That's it folks.

1.) 01 Sep 2023 19:32:32
Was obvious we would sell more and not replace them. Gambling with the clubs future hoping Dyche can have us clear of trouble by Christmas. If we are not, will either be an expensive window or acceptance we are going down.

2.) 01 Sep 2023 19:37:19
How do you know we won’t sign anyone?

3.) 01 Sep 2023 19:48:16
Club only bringing in players that will improve us. About time we had a plan and stuck to it.
We can't continue with the wages to income we have so these high earners or players who aren't going to play need to go.

{Ed025's Note - thats very positive coming from you Smit, i like it mate.. :)

4.) 01 Sep 2023 20:15:04
Let’s hope we have done enough in this window Smit to stay up, we still have to wait for DCL and McNeil to get up to speed, fingers x mate.

{Ed025's Note - and Harrison GB..

5.) 01 Sep 2023 20:16:08
We are very light that's the facts.

{Ed025's Note - its probably because we got rid of a lot of flotsam from the good ship Everton BT..

6.) 01 Sep 2023 20:19:55
According to bbc sport no more deals for Everton.

7.) 01 Sep 2023 20:36:49
Overall it’s a good window especially with the outgoings.

8.) 01 Sep 2023 20:45:35
Getting a striker if he performs how we all hope, will be a massive boost. It was criminal not to have sorted it years ago. I personally think he will do well and it's a major overall improvement. Even if we have got rid of more than we got in. Still got a sneaky feeling we will do a random before window shuts.

9.) 01 Sep 2023 21:32:46
Hopefully FBS mate.

Maupay to Brentford on a season loan.

Good luck to him.

Just reading Rodrigo at Leeds as a £3.5million relegation release clause, am sure they will be a lot of takers at that price, can't see us being able to entice but he would do a job for sure.

Mocker7712

1.) 09 Jun 2023 14:49:53
Thought the same myself but his age is against him. 32. He has a good goal return but that's in a Leeds team that weren't bothered about defending.
Might struggle to get 5 or 6 in a Dyche team.

2.) 09 Jun 2023 14:58:11
Yep not ideal age but would be ok for a season or 2 until ouf finances are better, I am sure he will command a decent wage now and rumoured Real Madrid link means we can all but rule us out. Shows some decent bargains tho to be had.

3.) 10 Jun 2023 22:25:16
No!
Stop buying old players past their best! Ginola/ Gascoigne etc do we ever learn?

30 May 2023 12:10:27
What's the latest on Andre Gomes (activity forgot about him) . Seemed to be playing well at Lille, not sure if they will buy. But with our current state, might be that little bit of creativity we lack tho not sure fits Dyches maximum effort minimum requirement ethos.

Mocker7712

{Ed002's Note - Andre Gomes (CM) Will return from his loan at Lille and then a decision will be made. Lille may be open to making an offer. Wasserman will be looking for other options no doubt.}

1.) 30 May 2023 12:20:27
Cheers Ed?.

11 Jan 2023 20:49:45
Do the Ed's or anyone know what is happening with Coady and Vinagre loan deals?

Keep seeing/ Reading we are linked with various players on loan, Ings, Danjama et . But don't we need to either sign coady or cancel Vinagre loan first to be able to get anyone in.

Mocker7712

{Ed002's Note - Frank L wants to complete the signing of Cody ASAP and has been tryinf or some time.}

Should be 10.

2-0 Today. Think and expect us to bombard Utd today.

My biggest worry is the atmosphere might pump the lads up too much and lead to a sending off and the dreaded VAR. Keep 11 on the match, suffocate Utd and get the crosses in lads. At it the minute one.

Cmon, UTFT! ??????.

Mocker7712

1.) 26 Nov 2023 16:48:19
Unfortunately it’s the same team on the pitch and I fear the atmosphere will go against us not for us, I can see us getting a hiding from a decent team who are on a great run of form. 0-3 ☹️?.

{Ed014's Note - these lot are utter shite, you should be battering them.

One moment of brilliance as usual for them and nothing else

2.) 26 Nov 2023 17:25:06
I hope you’re right ?.

{Ed014's Note - keep doing what you’re doing, get one and I suspect you’ll get a few more.

3.) 27 Nov 2023 09:23:45

Seems severe and very swift, but it is what it is.

If ever they was a season in recent times to withstand a 10pt deduction then it's this season. Let's take it on the chin unless we can prove otherwise and just hope we obtain the PTS to stay up, which I am confident we will.

Also hope the other clubs get treated with the same severity of and when proved, City and Chelsea definitely been up to no good.

Finally can't get Leeds trying to sue us by all accounts, ok Burnley and Leicester as if the deduction came into effort either of the last 2 seasons they would have stayed up, but Leeds in both season wouldn't have got of the bottom 3! Bizarre and desperate by them, probably still sour grapes over Gnonto debacle in summer.

Chins up lads, it could have been worse, least we ain't bottom!

1.) 17 Nov 2023 18:02:00
The 'independent' cpmmissions reasoning for the harshness makes no sense either. Only one person to blame for this and all due to lack of football knowledge and trusting so-called friends for advice.

2.) 17 Nov 2023 18:47:43
Think it's a degrace 19.5 mil over 3 years nothing in football terms. think other clubs be fiddling there books now with this we all have to start following bus again setting flares off thank god we won few of last games gives us a chance all of us together now come on you blues.

3.) 17 Nov 2023 19:12:59
Or we could contest it. Their is absolutely no reason why we should just accept this.

{Ed025's Note - im with you Woburn..

4.) 17 Nov 2023 19:25:37
Do agree WB. But just don't see them changing their minds.

You would have mayhem if say we got the 10 PTS back or even less as clubs be arguing they were messed about in belief that 1 week they are not in bottom 3 next they are.

The premier League have messed up and not even priced in our appeal which imagine if we won and forced a team down come May.

Inept throughout football. Is what it is, the supporters statement sums it up especially the view when the 6 tried to destroy English Football for good and got measly fines and not the fans fault mentality.

Same logic not applicable here and we all know why.

Said for years now football is corrupt be it var of FFP and today's outcome only furthers strengthens my beliefs.

{Ed025's Note - im with you Mocker, if there was sanctions it should have been given to the scum bag 6 who tried to destroy the league for greed in forming a super league, your right mate...its corruption..

5.) 17 Nov 2023 19:40:50
Ed 25 too bloody true, and international break and this total BS I just smell a massive rat mate.
My bad if I am wrong but I am beside myself with anger .

{Ed025's Note - im disappointed rather than angry GD, that could well change though when we find out the punishments to Chelsea and City mate..

6.) 17 Nov 2023 20:26:47
It is what it is.

10 points this season has put us 5 behind Bournemouth and relative safety. We can’t afford any poor games or results now.

If city are found guilty and punished in accordance with the similar ratio to 1 infringement to 10 points, I’d be amazed. Whether anything comes from Chelsea I’d also be surprised.

Thought Carragher’s comment on the big 6 fiasco getting no punishment was interesting. There does seem to be a feeling of corruption around doesn’t there?

7.) 17 Nov 2023 21:09:23
Great read this you guys all have great views, this feels like a knee jerk reaction and not thought out, fact that majority are saying its harsh even carrager, which feels odd agreeing with speakes volumes to the disaster that the Premier league has become, they deserve a regulatory body and if this brings it on good.

8.) 17 Nov 2023 23:27:35
For what it’s worth, Moshiri has run this club like sh*t from top to bottom for years. Don’t like to speak ill of the dead, but Kenwright was his ‘knowledgeable man’ so they’re both culpable.

Reality is we were bang to rights through years of absolute incompetence. The only surprises were firstly that we were only £20m over the limit and secondly that the penalty seems unduly harsh, especially given administration gets you nine points.

Whichever way you look at it, I think the points deduction is the least of ours worries. 777 Partners look a far bigger problem long term given I’d back us to stay up anyway.

01 Nov 2023 23:11:42
Fair play to Dyche. He as stuck in there. Was never worried as the signs were there for me that improvement in results would come. Just need keep building and believe in the process. Still long way off finished article but fair play to the manager and players in recent weeks with all the off field stuff going on and Bill's sad passing. ??.

Mocker7712

1.) 02 Nov 2023 07:28:55
Totally agree, couldn't put it better myself.

2.) 02 Nov 2023 09:45:48
Good performance keeps the momentum going different task saturday thought Brighton not going to be easy we are going to have to be at our best for the full 90 minutes to get anything but back to league cup if we do manage to beat fulham is the semi finals at wembley does any one know.

3.) 02 Nov 2023 21:20:18
2 leg semi final I think. One home and one away.

4.) 03 Nov 2023 06:39:07
Yeah also double checked that if runners up we're to be given a place in Europe if winner had already for CL or Europa League, unfortunately be no back door entry to European Conference League.

Guess we will just after go win the thing! ????.

5.) 03 Nov 2023 14:07:26
Last thing we need is European football and the more stringent FFP.

6.) 03 Nov 2023 20:07:49
In your opinion Smit. I'd welcome European football next season in any form, it would mean we had actually won something or got a top 6 finish!, I'd say actually give us a better chance of getting our finances out, more revenue and scope to attract better sponsors and players.

Ed002,

Didn't Jarrad sign a new contract only a few months ago with no release clauses? so hopefully if needs be and we do sell then we could command a decent fee.

Mocker7712

{Ed002's Note - Yes he signed a new contract but the financial situation at Everon is truy diore - the club has a huge problem.}

Absolutely, really don't get Leeds or the others, only Leicester and Burnley have any justification imo, both finishing 18th in the 2 years it took for action against us to be taken, and how is it our fault the premier League took this long, surely they should be suing the premier league as well?

Just imagine when City finally get their belated PTS dock, that means all teams in premiership since 2008 can sue them due to lost of earnings, league positions, sponsorship etc etc. Be barmy if happened but the way football is and the way the premier League and our club is ran wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Sad thing is they don't care about the fans of clubs and be all about TV and streaming with the vast amount of advertising chucked in massively targeting the Asian and American markets.

Apparently, all Premier League clubs have signed a contract stating they won't join any breakaway European Leagues with the backing of the government.

I for one have no desire to watch or follow a set up that threatens the small and grassroot football clubs, give me a Brentford V Burnley on a cold Tuesday night then a razzmatazz corporate inspired over hyped cash cow.

All about money ain't it GB especially the European clubs trying to break up the premier League monopoly on investment and global appeal.

By all accounts won't get off ground certainly with English clubs involved, they saw the fans and media outcry previously and government and premier League have put stuff in place to safeguard those wanting to join.

Why would we want to offer him a new contract if he remained injured GD?

Bonkers to think like that, he needs to warrant one and be hungry to earn one.

Wanted it to work for Dele but it hasn't nor seems likely, best to move on for both parties, we can't do sentiment in our current situation.

Ed,

If we were to get a transfer ban, would that include loans?

Presume so but unsure.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, it means the club cannot register new players.}

Will forest be expecting a 6 PT hit like us Ed, from what I've read their charge is more serious than our first.

Do you expect both charges to be concluded by the end of the season regardless?

Mocker7712

{Ed002's Note - I think it unlikely they will get the same punishment. The Premier League expect the cases relating to Everton and Nottingham Forest to be closed out by the end of the season.}
