Cometh the hour that bit nearer to the announcement of everton fcs new manager, I fancy it will be earlier rather than later next week.

Solomon01

1.) I live in kirkby and know the stubbs's quite well and all I have heard all week is stubbs is having a 2nd interview on monday/tuesday and he will be anounced next week

Bluejim

2.) I believe that BK is looking at 2 sets of internal candidates and two external.
The internal teams are 1) Stubbs and Ferguson and 2) Neville and Cahill. Expect a decision early next week.
AJ

3.) I'm pretty sure you posted the other day solomon stating exactly when it was happening and who it was, actually you have posted it is a done deal with 3 different names over the past week or so

4.) A lot of people on here have lost faith in you solomon. its defo not vp. Got so quiet on hin now

5.) I wouldn't say people have 'lost' faith in him toffee john, there was none there in the first place for him to 'lose' it. The kid's clearly sophmoric wind-up merchant looking to stir things up.

Redknapp for Everton? what a joke, where do the bookies get this useless info from although I suppose he might try & hijack all of moyes Man U. Deals in the summer lol.
As I have said & keep saying, vitor periera is evertons chosen man & will be unveiled as the clubs new manager sometime next week & wants to bring 'atsu' with him.

Solomon01

1.) Perhaps they (bookies) invent it like some others do. In fact, that's almost certainly what they do to drum up business.

I've just had a thought folks, tv announced a couple of nights ago that they were led to believe that everton had devised a short list of 8 candidates for the hot seat (hardly a short list), but wasn't it the same news channel tv who only a couple of seasons ago announced right at the end of a transfer deadline window that we had bid 6 million quid for jack but land which proved to be a complete pack of lies, so why should we believe them about this list of 8 candidates. As I said yesterday, vitor perriera has got the job & will be announced as new everton manager some time next week, maybe as early as Monday or Tuesday. Coyb

Solomon01

1.) Solomon you do seem intent to stick with your thought that vp has got the job. tell me what makes you so sure. I hope your right. but why is it taking so long.

2.) Sounds like you're having doubts about your confident prediction!

3.) Its funny solomon because you said last week martinez had the job

4.) He also claimed Lennon was a nailed on certainty for the job. Tells you everything you need to know, in a nutshell.

5.) Solomon Grundy:- Lennon on Monday, Martinez on Tuesday, Pereira on Wednesday, who's next? {Ed025's Note - purple ackie?

6.) King solomons mimes!

Sorry guys, I did make a mistake in assuming that porto had another game left to go in the league as I was told that by my brother & as I don't follow Portuguese football I wasn't to know, apologies. But I am sticking to my guns from the information I have obtained from ultra reliable sources that vitor periera will be announced as our new manager sometime next week. As I stated earlier, he has been bills preferred choice from day 1 & as there is no compensation involved - this will enable him to have larger amount of money to spend in the transfer market.
I will reveal who I actually am & who it is that I am associated with at the club after the announcement has been made next week, & then you will all understand how I got to know of this information regarding our new manager vitor periera. Thanks & good night from a very excited evertonian.

Solomon01

1.) They will hunt you down Solo people won't forget mate i'm not saying your rubbishting but you were told wrong about Lennon so if your wrong on this the posters will never believe a word you say again. that is a strong statement you just made there I hope your right.

2.) Unbelievable.

3.) I put a £200 bet down on this happening 'stef the blue', & believe you me I am tight as a ducks arse with money, that's how convinced I am of this happening.

4.) At what odds did you get if you don't mind saying.

5.) Solomon. I don't know what I am excited about most, the appointment of our new manager or your coming out party:-) jlaff

6.) Solomon you are full of it! You are a nobody and have no connections whatsoever so leave it out will ya. Nobody knows anythin yet and even if vitor is out next manager then the only reason you are right is by blind luck. Grow up and stop thinking your important! Dave

Everyone just calm down. Periera will definitely be our next manager. A source close to the deal has revealed that it will be signed, sealed & announced formally sometime next week as Porto still have 1 game of the season left to play this weekend. Bill is well aware of who it is that the fans want. Vitor periera has been on bills radar since the end of last year when new contract talks stalled with moyes. All will be we'll folks, just chill & be patient, it will be we'll worth the wait as perieras appointment will be just the start of news breaking events here at Goodison park this summer!

Solomon01

1.) You're certainly sticking with your line now Sol

2.) Who they playing this weekend because league is over?

3.) 23 May 2013 17:26:04
If Porto are champions why the wait, Moyes didnt.

4.) Ed, I know that this is a rumours site (and a very fine one, might I add) but when people assert things that are just plain wrong can you please screen them out.

PORTO HAVE NO MORE GAMES TO PLAY THIS SEASON. They won the league on the last day of the season (last week) and though there is still the cup final to come on Saturday, this is between Benfica and Vitória de Guimarães.

This whole waiting-for-a-manager process is fraught enough without fellow blues just making stuff up.

5.) I thought Porto's season had finished?

6.) Without wishing to sound pedantic or flippant, the season is over in Portugal so the reasoning that it will be announced after the last game doesn't lend your assertion any credibility, and sounds like you've just invented the story.

7.) This is ridiculous now who are you bills brother seriously

8.) Porto also don't have another game to play, it is the portugese cup final this weekend which they are not in

9.) He meant to post it last week lol

10.) Funny you have mentioned two others that are definites now, even if vp signs on the dotted line it won't be because you new its because you have went with the majority as FACT

11.) What makes you so sure solomon

hi guys, sorry I am currently on hols in majorca, so havnt got long, but would just like to state the fact that although martinez has resigned there are still 2 other candidates to be interviewed one of which is periera & the other is either laudrup or di matteo. I suggest us fans get together a strong online petition asap (as we have with the club badge) & get the message across strongly to kenwrong & co that all us fans want winner periera not loser martinez for efc manager. my source says that periera will be spoken too tomorrow, so expect a decision by the weekend & just ignore all the press hype for now as it is just all speculation. whos up for the online petition?

Solomon01

1.) Your source is wrong pereira has already been interviewed will you stop guessing your annoying

2.) You told us all Pereira was 'Kenwrong's' first choice so what good will a petition do? Think you've been drinking too many San Miguel myself.

3.) Haha, caught by your own stupidity!

4.) There is already an online petition started at change.org/everton manager with approx 250 signatures, get signing.

Is it me, or is it really strange that 'fellaini' moved houses to Manchester earlier in the season so say to stop women drooling over him, or was he in the know about moyes becoming man united manager. Couple this with the fact that moyes stAted shortly after fellainis house move that he wouldn't b signing any contract til after the season finished. & now we have stories that fellainis wants to follow moyes to man united, I reckon there's a lot going on behind the scenes that none of us were aware of & I reckon everton fc have been taken to the cleaners on this one. What does everyone else think? {Ed025's Note - i think your adding 2+2 and coming out with 5 solly mate..

Solomon01

1.) 21 May 2013 23:01:53
Its you

Degsy

2.) It may well be a total coincidence with regards Fellaini, (Although unless they do not have women in Manchester it does seem a bit of a lame excuse) I for one do not believe things happened as the "official" story is being touted. As Kevin Ratcliffe said in an interview recently, A 6 year contract negotiated, signed and sorted in 2 days, 1 day of which Moyes was in London is hard to believe.

The point here is a simple one though, none of it matters. Moyes has gone, doesn't matter if he knew well in advance or not, Fellaini was always going to move on, and if he doesn't want to play for us so be it, I don't want him or anyone else who is not 100% committed to Everton at the club.

One point to think about though, word has it there will be money to spend this summer, if true it is not something that happened overnight with a random figure plucked out of the air, so Moyes would have known or at least had a good idea that he would have been able to strengthen the squad this summer, yet he decided not to sign a new contract? However life goes on and so will Everton.

Seems like a 3 way fight for the everton managers job now;
Pereira, laudrup or Martinez. 1 of these guys will be appointed sometime this week. waiting with baited breath!

Solomon01

1.) If there were three it would be Martinez, Stubbs and Neville.

16 May 2013 19:47:54
My gut feeling is I don't think we will be for Martinez as I think something would of happened by now, especially since wigans relegation. Thank goodness for that too!! The man is simply not good enough for everton unless we want to be entertaining the wrong end of the table season in season out.
It's a simple choice for me now between pereira, laudrup, Benitez & di-Matteo, these are all quality men with an ability to win things & take us to the next level. I would like to say that since my last post, I am favouring a move more for 'perreira' - after reading about him I think he could be a perfect fit for everton with positives including no compensation, brilliant tactically, mean defensively, good at developing younger players & has won titles & cups & unbeaten in the portugese league for whole of the current season - are you listening bill kenright? get this man & do the right & proper thing for everton fc!!

Solomon01

1.) What a fickle bunch you lot are, Martinez was best thing since sliced bread last week, Di mateo possibly, but no chance with pereira & laudrop because face facts your not big enough club, why would laudrup leave to join Everton, what benefit will he gain?

2.) Managing one of the worlds great football clubs!

14 May 2013 23:25:36
Right folks, I'm getting really annoyed about all this "Martinez for everton" talk. How low have we all sunk to even be entertaining the subject? He seems a nice guy, but he simply isn't good enough for my beloved club & his defensive qualities are non existent. The way I see it is that when moyes came in we were relegation material, but in time he bought us real stability & eventually a 'top 7' status, so moyes therefore created the stability. What we now need to do is take our football to the next level (I. e. - top 4/5 & winning a cup & European football on a regular bais etc). To achieve this we need a more capable manager that has achieved exactly these things - the right people to do this for me would be in the following order;

1) Michael laudrup
2) pereira
3) Benitez
4) roberto di Matteo

Laudrup is easily first choice for me, & when you look at how good 'michu' has been this season you can see that laudrup possesses moyes' ability of finding a gem of a player for small money.
Finally, on a more happy note, I think David moyes will 1 day return as manager of everton, not sure when, but convinced he will.

Solomon01

1.) I do agree with what your sayin but our defenders and whole squad are a different class compared to wigans

2.) 15 May 2013 08:16:29
Solomon if Rafa had not managed the Koppites I would be begging to get him here because he is a top manager, also if I remember he slated our great team too but I can forgive that remark as that is what a managers job is to unsettle opposition.

Could we really ignore he was a Koppite, could we handle the flack from the other end of the park, don't know but personally mate I don't know whether I could.

Degsy

3.) Why the Laudrup love in? He won a league cup, big deal.

Svenny

4.) 15 May 2013 09:28:12
Totally agree with you - all other clubs supporters think Martinez is great, my response is, 'Well you have him!' Also agree with your top 3.

5.) I think that to spend £10 million on Laudrup would be a waste if money, I haven't heard enough about Pereira to want him to be honest, Benitez is a good manager but also an Ex-Kopite so no to him, I wouldn't mind di Matteo as he done well with Chelsea and was unfairly sacked

6.) Dont understand this ex kopite crap. did we slag off beardsley when he was banging them in for us. so what he said things about us. it happens in all rivalries between 2 close clubs. I would be surprised if 1. we approcached rafa and 2 he was keen. he is a good manager but would want a decent transfer fund

Everton fc have been monitoring him for some months now although I don't think they truly thought moyes would actually leave. My hunch at the moment is that the lure of champions league & new promises from the porto board will probably make him stay at porto, which will be a great shame as he seems perfect for everton fc. Fingers crossed. {Ed025's Note - i like him as well solly mate..
