interesting to read jags is are best passer of the ball this season most accurate I must say, all stats from 4-4-2 mag.

Agree0 Disagree1

Passing between him and the goalie, his centre-back partner, the full-back outside him, or a defensive midfielder (usually Barry) might give Jagielka the best passing record, but they're hardly defence-splitting, chance-creating, match-winning passes.

Jags is a central defender, we don't want him playing defence-splitting, chance-creating or match-winning passes!

bluebrum: it'd be great if he could, but I agree that he's a defender first and foremost. My intended point was that the individual passing stats are pretty much meaningless - just as are a team's possession-percentage stats. All that really counts is that as a team we create plenty of chances and score plenty of goals AND limit the opposition's chances and don't concede goals. Results - wins and points- are surely what matter. Expansive, entertaining, imaginative, attacking football is a bonus - albeit great to watch and enjoy.

Id like to see him top of any clean sheet related stats tbh.

the reason I said what I said was everyone bangs on about stones's passing and that is his strong attribute well to me this speaks volumes that he hasn't brought much to the team this season no matter how you pass it its got to make your team mate to start something and players are rated by there stats and most of the time stats are included in contracts by agents so its a massive part of the game.

Fair enough muff. Still fancy holding onto Stones. As I said before Stones has 10+ years. Jags ain't going to go forever.

It's not how you pass it its knowing when to do it. Stones is a brilliant footballer just not getting the right tutorage. I think it would probably be in everyone's best interest if he was to move on early in the summer with as little hassle as possible. I'll wish the lad well.

How about just coaching him and benefiting from his fabulous talent? What footballer was ever the finished article at 21?

07 Feb 2016 22:48:33
stones has already gone in his head nbtb he's a lost cause Galloway will step into jags shoes, we have to start players who are here for long term stones hasn't a future at everton, if he brings nothing the bench, lukaku will be gone in the summer to just hope the club are planning for the future ie next season I wouldn't mind hernandez ex man utd player there ain't much around to replace lukaku because he's that good.

Jeez muff your not too positive so. I'm hoping for a brilliant end to the season. Hope to finish in top 6. It will be very tough. Might give our top lads an incentive to stay. We might not finish that well but imo we are over our low point of the season.

What's the saying, hope for the best prepare for the worst. All will be revealed in the summer.

{Ed025's Note - i like your positivity mate..
