What I've heard is that the major problem on some of these transfers is about a relegation clause. not sure if by club or players involved. this is a real possibility so I assume there is going to be caution.

Until Gray and cannon are sold or loaned out there will be no more incomings. sad state of affairs and with all these youngsters being sold, come next year we will lose danjuma as he's on loan and young will be 101 ?? furthing weakining the squad. what's the point of the u23 as every time we have a possibility of a decent player they are sold for a couple of million. bonkers imho.

Simms sold then we get danjuma. waiting for gray to go and then we get someone else in. the amount of players we are linked too in the 20-40 mill bracket but no takers, same as last window when closed the true figures were leaked which showed we were offering peanuts for players but sources were saying we offered top money - let's face facts we are skint and FFP is going to hinder us for a few more seasons.

If we can, shift Maupay on for a bit of money and then go and buy Beto from Udinese and have him as our no9 with the option of both him and Dcl in a 4-4-2. Would terrify defences physically.

. we know which players have to go - gomes, gbamin, holgate, maupay but if there are no takers hard to get rid off. last day of transfer window I would suggest at low prices or freebies even loans even then we will probably have to cough up some of their wages.

Defence duties, Coleman, Patterson, Keane, tarkovski, Godfrey, young, Micki, brainthwaite plus holgate if not sold / loaned out. coady was a steal at 4.5 mill but we decided against so I assume once young was drafted in, there will be no more defenders coming in. rumours / papertalk we don't seem to be looking for defenders just forwards. who knows.

I think gomes will go to Lille at very end of window as they know what they are getting. stuck with gbamin I'm afraid. holgate will be loaned out. gray will be sold and then a replacement for him. maupay either kept or used in a transfer deal for dia. I reckon we have a budget of 10-20 million for transfers which will be used for a forward. young came in on a free to boost defence / versatile player so no more defenders required considering we have brainthwaite back. danjuma on loan to help midfield / forward line.
In all once we get a forward in and a replacement for gray once sold that's it for this window I reckon. hopefully wrong but who knows.
