DnnyGabbidon just told my nan that Messi, Bale and Ronaldo are on there way to Goodison. He wouldn't lie, his 'mates' have already signed for us!

RK normally likes to play the 5-3-2. Backs seem to be Coleman, Baines, Williams, the argie (always forget his name) and another. Up top could be Lukaku and Bony. Leaving three in midfield. My guess is Guna, Delefeou and who? Barry, Mccarthy, Mirallas, Berkley, Lennon, Coric? Who you reckon will be the third mid?

Kingo78

1.) 12 Aug 2016 22:17:47
Well it won't be Bony for starters as Koeman's already said he's not interested in signing him.

2.) 12 Aug 2016 23:32:08
Hope yous get him good footballer kone 16 games on £40000 now wants £70000 that's not the prob he wants a move so what, it's the way he's went about it, does not give a F about our clubs just another 1 who thinks he's bigger than the club any way lads good luck for the season.

3.) 13 Aug 2016 07:42:42
That's football Mr MackeM.

4.) 13 Aug 2016 12:39:18
Deulofeu and Mirallas are up front. Holgate, Mori and Jags are at the back. McCarthy and Baines are wingbacks. Playing 3-5-2.

5.) 13 Aug 2016 12:45:52
That's for today obviously. Haven't been told what the midfield is but I know Gueye starts.

09 Aug 2016 23:08:34
Without getting brandished negative, I hope the 30m quoted for Bolasie is paper talk. Worth approx 10-15m in these inflated prices if you ask me. Like I've previously said, I don't expect the 'Marquee' signings this season, based on the fact that which big time name would sign for us based on the last 2 seasons. This season is about getting us where we were and rebuilding from there. I can't see bolasie having that much of a sell on value after where we've got where (or close) to where we want to be at.

Kingo78

1.) 09 Aug 2016 23:25:05
Every players price in this league has inflated, you would get Jordan ibe for 15m. And as for not getting a sell on value/ profit, we hopefully aren't a sell on club nomore! Unless the player wants to go. Chin up mate we could be spending 35m on Andy caroll.

2.) 09 Aug 2016 23:54:36
The most important thing is the team being stronger, if the club can afford what we are paying then I have no problem. We could start this season with stekelenberg, gueye, Williams, kone, Bolasie and bony, that already makes us way stronger than we were even with stones gone. Also koeman is a better manager than Martin so we know he will get the best out of the players we already have. Coyb!

3.) 10 Aug 2016 00:15:28
I don't know why supporters are focusing on how much a player costs or is worth. What Koeman has to do is develop a team that is capable of getting us up the table and into the European spots. If he thinks that getting Bolasie or Williams or any other player is essential to achieving that goal then who cares how much it costs? If their is a time to be critical it is at the end of the season and not now.

4.) 10 Aug 2016 00:39:31
9.5m for Williams.

5.) 10 Aug 2016 09:28:27
In the words of the Oracle Ed2

FORGET ABOUT THE FREAKING MONEY

I added freaking on obviously.

6.) 10 Aug 2016 15:57:52
It's not coming out of our pockets. Its only too much if it's outside the financial means of the club. TBH we are all whining about transfers then when we get close its too much? Forget the cash the billionaire supplying it is not worrying. To be a top club we have to spend yes probably over the odds but city have spent 100 million on two players. We have sold on players massivly inflated it happens. Let's embrace this I've been waiting a lifetime for us to spend a few bob. We nearly sold out to tesco for a flat pack stadium few years back. Except it we are not povo's any more. COYB.

Anything more on Kovacic Ed, or was that just a pipe dream/ press garb. Would prefer him a 1000 tomes over Witzel I reckon.

Kingo78

{Ed002's Note - Even though he has only been at the club for a year, Real Madrid are willing to sell Mateo Kovacic (who has also been offered by Real Madrid as part of a deal for another player) and they have discussed him with three other clubs - AC Milan, Dortmund and Roma.}

1.) 08 Jul 2016 20:30:58
But nothing to do with us? Nice while it lasted I guess. Haha.

2.) 08 Jul 2016 21:35:00
To be honest if we somehow signed him that would be 1 of the best so called marquee signings we could wish for.

3.) 08 Jul 2016 22:20:50
Who was he offered to as part of a deal for another player, do you know that Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Juventus.}

4.) 08 Jul 2016 23:26:10
Thanks Ed.

27 May 2016 09:38:11
Heard a few whispers that Joachim Low is high up on the wanted list. Low apparently wants a crack at club football, ideally in champ league, but also supposedly interested in us as he could easily put his stamp on with our money. What are your thoughts Ed? Would be the high profile manager we need as well in my opinion. Defo attract some names into signing.

Kingo78

{Ed025's Note - he would do for me kingo, i feel that its unlikely but you never know mate..

1.) 27 May 2016 09:51:33
Supposedly Klinsmann has had a say on this as well saying he's interested but wants to see if champ league club comes after him depending on the euros. Has he ever done anything at club level (even managed, yet alone won anything)

2.) 27 May 2016 10:37:27
He had a stint at Bayern where he made a few changes to their player development. He got sacked for losing the champions league quarters against barce. His league record was ok but probably not good enough for them. Although they have since said they regretted firing him.

Let's trust the people at our club who know what their jobs are shall we. All these 'fans' who were moaning because Ogbonna chose to go elsewhere, that Spanish striker went to arsenal, sissoko went to spuds. I could go on. Just because you got Everton winning the champions league within 2 seasons doesn't make it real life. It's a big process we have to go through at the moment which won't happen over a couple of transfer windows. Let's be honest, we need a massive overhaul. The Opta stats thingy today showed only TWO blues would get into a Merseyside 11. Two! We have no right to be challenging, or signing the very best at the moment. Let's trust the staff involved in sorting our squad out and see how we are in a couple of years rather than 4 months. Let's be honest, we've finished 11th two seasons on the bounce. I know we are only half way through the season so far, but if we can get rid of some deadwood, improve with a couple of players and finish 7th, I would say that's a big improvement and we are heading in the right direction. We may have to pay big fees to entice players to join. Let the money men at our club sort that out. We definitely need new players. Let the manager and scouts deal with that. Let's just sit back, enjoy the ride and get behind whatever team the club feel fit to improve our club. Together, we will get there in the end.

Can someone please let me know what koeman has apparently said/ done to make him. public enemy no 1/ sacked or whatever. I genuinely haven't seen anything and am quite confused by it all

Kingo78

1.) 09 Jan 2017 00:12:35
He's basically told of his frustration of not getting players in quickly. Told a few home truths and the majority of fans who think we are a top 4 team that wins trophies on a regular basis, want him sacked for being crap. It's beggars belief sometimes. eveyone is entitled to their opinion but some stuff on here is plain idiotic

{Ed001's Note - I doubt it is the majority, it is just a very vocal minority mate.}

2.) 09 Jan 2017 07:01:33
We were in lower Bullens on sat can someone tell me why some of the fans are still taking it out on Barkley it's not just him they were all quiet. There was no spark there

3.) 09 Jan 2017 10:38:40
I really feel sorry for Barkley I Sutton in the lower gladys and I'm fed up arguing with people who do nothing but abuse the lad and unfortunately if it continues he will have to leave to fulfill his potential those same fans will then call him a traitor and a Judas some Evertonions are embarrassing and wouldn't surprise me if it's the same fans who want Koeman sacked.

what I love more than anything is they all say the same thing and when you argue they shout "well you might be happy with a mediocre Team but I'm not" ha ha I'm not happy with it but I will support our players n manager until the day I die.

06 Jan 2017 22:13:51
Straight through the middle. Joe Hart, Manolas, Schniederlin and Javier Hernandez. Maybe even a cheeky bid for Depay on loan if we match MU fee for Schniederlin. Europa a certain then. Hahaha

Kingo78

{Ed025's Note - sounds good to me kingo..

04 Jan 2017 21:58:30
I am not looking for a debate, but I have just been watching Lookman 'best bits'. I'm not slating him before he's started, but is he meant to be straight into the 1st team (I'm guessing do at £10m+) . Reason I ask is he looks too small at the minute. Most of his edge of the box shots sort of trickle into the net as if he hasn't got the strength in his legs yet (not that it matters hiw they go in) .

Kingo78

1.) 04 Jan 2017 23:21:13
I would think that he isn't meant to go into the first 11 but into the squad. If anyone thinks he is going to come and be a complete world beater immediately then they need to think again. We must give him the chance to develop properly.

2.) 05 Jan 2017 05:16:03
Although it's interesting that we blocked the idea of him returning to Charlton on loan for the rest of the season.

I think he will feature in the first team, but only in small amounts.

3.) 05 Jan 2017 12:59:35
Impact sub for sure to start with.

4.) 05 Jan 2017 17:04:13
He is 19 and Koeman rates him. I guess Walsh does too or they will soon fall out! It is interesting that he is 100% our player with no loan back and for that fee they must see something.

5.) 06 Jan 2017 13:25:29
Has ability in both feet, has pace and can play on either flank.
Lets remember the balls in the Premier League are different than those in the lower leagues too.
The lad is 19 years old and will be chomping at the bit to prove himself.
The size argument isn't really relevant as David Silva isn't very tall neither is Payet and they tend to do well.

6.) 06 Jan 2017 15:54:28
Neither is a little lad called Lionel Messi.

19 Dec 2016 22:19:46
Will start this off by saying I'm NOT in the Koeman out gang, although I believe his substitutions lost us the game (although not directly obviously) . Can't see what he'd hoped to achieve swapping Barry and Mccarthy, and I thought Balenciaga was one of our better 'workers' and Calvert-Lewin appeared to young and inexperienced. Shows our depth if you ask me. Bring on January. and similar rant in July and August most probably.

Kingo78

{Ed025's Note - mccathy was injured kingo but i agree with the depth issue mate..

1.) 19 Dec 2016 22:25:25
What was the injury? Must have missed it. Nothing apparent was it?

{Ed025's Note - i think he got a dead leg just before half time mate..

2.) 19 Dec 2016 22:32:44
He clashed with firminho and had a dead leg.

3.) 19 Dec 2016 22:40:37
I hope it's just a dead-leg for McCarthy, as his history of hamstring problems doesn't bode well.

4.) 20 Dec 2016 00:06:41
mccarthy was holding his hamstring when he went down.

I think I may be a little unfair to Robles, but my opinion on him is that he's an exceptional number 2 but not quite a number 1.

How genuine was Koemans I want him plea, or was it just a case of him saying that because he didn't want to offend a professional and just say 'nah, he's a rubbish show pony'

Think I may actually agree with Ander partly. Obviously you play on talent and not age. I think what he's saying is keep most, who potentially have something, until 21 ish and attempt to bleed them in to some sort of first team action until we decide whether they are good enough or not, then if not then bin them. Of course, if a Tom Davies comes along who is younger and better than the next, then he comes ahead. Isn't that normal football? Talent over age?

I've heard whispers of the loan too. Would prefer it that way if I'm honest. Good keeper, yes. Better than we already have, definitely. 20 million and 200k a week. Certainly not. And don't have a go at me 'concerned' about the money. It's in the Everton blood.

Maybe a bit too late for him to be the player we want/ expected him to be. Never going to be a great player imo.

A mate of mine is a Southampton fan, and although he says all the Saints fan love Van Dijk, he reckons he's not the best 'defender'. If true, not quite sure that's what we need for that money at this moment in time.

Got to admit, would love to sign a young, good keeper (Leno, Horn) but Kovacic I think would be my dream signing (for now haha) . That'd be a statement signing.

Must admit the fees are always at the back of my mind. Yes I know it's not my money, but it's my clubs future that's being played with. I hope I'm wrong and I must admit I cannot get my head around these over inflated prices. 30m for Bolasie? I think it's overpriced. I'm not saying he's a bad player. My concern is we buy a few players at this ability: price ratio, and then when we get to the level we want to 'buy big' we've already done the money Mr Chairman was willing to spend on us. Remember, the money wasn't 'splashed' till stones went. I hope I'm wrong and we've got it coming out our ar$es. I'm just not used to cash as an Evertonian.
