Just read a rumour on Twitter that Martinez and Barkley had a bit of a bust up. Mainly Barkley criticising martinezs negative tactics. From this RM tried to transfer list Barkley until the board stepped in and refused. Don't know wether to believe that but I did see Barkley and Martinez arguing during the match yesterday.

However unlikely this "rumour" is, there's no doubt that players who've questioned - let alone challenged - Martinez in the past have been dropped, frozen out and eventually moved on. Fair enough - as long as he's the boss, he picks the team and sets the tactics.
I just wish that RM's bosses - the board - would question and challenge him about why he's not delivering the results that the fans, pundits, etc., expect.
He's had six transfer windows and good money to build the "squad to dream for" and had the best part of three seasons to demonstrate consistent progress. Waiting for the "golden generation" will count for nothing if the best current players choose to leave for success elsewhere.

You can see players are upset with RM, like most of us, this is the start of the end for RM, and about time.

Our new investor did not get as rich as he is by suffering fools, I agree with stig this is the beginning of the end for RM, his only saving grace will be the FA cup and that is if we win it.
