According to Kaveh Solhekol from sky sports he expects the Gordon transfer to happen tonight.

Alan Myers has just posted we are desperate to keep him so looks like this will drag on until very late into the window.

Kaveh is not reliable in the slightest.

I genuinely cannot fathom why we’d turn down £60m for Gordon.

He’s a decent player but he’s not worth anywhere near that price.

If he was guaranteed to score goals and keep us up this season then I could see why we wouldn’t want to sell, however he’s shown in the games he’s been given he’s not ready to step up and score the goals we need.

If it’s also true that he’s said he wants to go, why would you want to keep him as his head has been turned and no guarantees he’ll then play to his potential.

Gingerdan one of two reasons for me Lampard really doesn't want to lose him or the structure of the payments.

Who offered £60 million?

Only one of those makes sense. He is far from being the saviour, playing him as a false or true 9 doesn't work, runs up blind alleys, needs better acting lessons, apart from that he has potential. One thing is spot on though, nobody has offered £60 mill, oh and Lampard does not have the status to turn it down if it were offered.
