All this "boyhood evertonian" AG isn't true. he was a red through and through. Hopefully that helps some of you when he's gone ?.

Couldn't care less who he supported growing up. He wears royal blue now so he gets my support. He was getting all the plaudits last season. Worked his socks off. Lads absolute class. Undroppable. That's just a few of the things we were saying about him last season. Now 2 games into the season, playing in unfamiliar role as a striker, we aren't bothered if he goes or not. I hope he stays, but I know a majority don't care if he goes or not.

I care, I don't want us to be a feeder club. We will never be a force again if we constantly sell our best young payers. He probably will go since this is a business and every player has a price but I don't have to like it.

I'm same as you BlueMike. One of our best players last season and playing out of position to help the team. We always sell our best players to teams in and around top 6, which makes it harder for us to compete. I like how Onana has said he's looking forward to playing his whole contract here. Need these types of player at our club. Players willing to stay and fight to become better.

If he stays then he needs to cut out the going to ground so easily.
Can’t remember what player it was against on Saturday but he had an arm across chest and he went down holding his head - absolutely embarrassing.

You're all forgetting one very important fact. He WANTS to go. He has made his position clear. He also wanted to go to Newcastle. Its not us selling our best players. They are telling us they WANT to go.

I didn’t want Rooney to go, I didn’t have a problem with him wanting success, trophies and a chance at the champions league and playing where he could potentially get in the England squad for the World Cup, now Gordon is no Rooney but the money we got for Rooney helped us build a better team . No one is bigger than the club if it’s in the clubs best interest to let him go then good luck to him. He was great last season and who knows what this season could bring, but we have options in those positions already and £40 m plus MB or whatever is only going to help the club . UTFT COYB.

don't think people are deliberately down on the kid, they're just easing their inner Evertonian so they don't get too down when he goes.
A dreamer would hope we keep him and still sign a class striker.
A pessimist would expect him to go and we get an average striker.
An Evertonian would expect that the papers are wrong because the deal done is actually AG straight swap for Barklay and Batshuayi and we'll sign nobody else.
