So as I understand it with Ed 2 reply’s
Michy Batshuayi is the Chelsea striker we’ve had talks over
Broja is not for sale
There may be other players from Chelsea we have talked about
Serhou Guirassy from Rennes is another striker we are interested in if MB falls through.

Further to the above
We have two loan signings we cannot take anyone else in this window on loan.
If either Coady or Vinager become permanent purchases in January 2023 window we can then take two more in January on loan.
Gana will sign he’s just sorting out wages owed with PSG.

{Ed002's Note - The club can only have two at a time. Why is this so difficult to understand£

2.) 11 Aug 2022 18:13:46
Hi Ed, I thought that’s what I’d said if coady and vinegar become permanent signings in January 2023 then we can loan 2 more in January 2023
So that would be a total of 4 but only 2 at any one time.
If they don’t become permanent then we can only buy players for the rest of this window and in January 2023.
Sorry if that didn’t come across clearly
Also if I haven’t got that right now I’m giving up ?.

{Ed002's Note - No you said if one did.}

3.) 11 Aug 2022 19:13:58
Sorry just re reread my original post my bad grammar shouldn’t have used the word “either” meant both.

09 Aug 2022 08:38:15
Hi Ed’s have you any idea what the hold up is with Onana and Gana please?

Big C

{Ed002's Note - There is no hold up.}

1.) 09 Aug 2022 10:11:22
Thank you that clears it up ??I presume signings just take longer than loans. ? I’ll think of a sensible question next time, well try to anyway ?.

{Ed002's Note - They don't take longer than loans once the clubs and the player agree.}

2.) 09 Aug 2022 10:34:55
From what I’ve read Onana has signed.
Gueye is sorting out a pay off from PSG apparently.

3.) 09 Aug 2022 10:36:50
Oh! Okay thank you.

4.) 09 Aug 2022 10:46:30
Probably also need clearance as well.

5.) 09 Aug 2022 11:19:30
El Bobble tweeted as did Romano Fabrizo that Onana is now a Everton player and if what i have heard is true Lille do not work on Sundays so he will prob be announced today (Monday 9th Aug) . Gana is waiting for a visa and has already done the first part of his medical and we are just waiting for PSG to give the okay for the second part to be done, Gueye is already in the UK he was pictured at Alton Towers with his family on Sat.

6.) 09 Aug 2022 12:47:48
Hold up on announcing onana apparently is Lille not releasing the paperwork.

7.) 09 Aug 2022 12:56:40
Today is Tuesday Lamps?.

8.) 09 Aug 2022 12:58:57
darn brexit and the work permits. :)

9.) 09 Aug 2022 14:10:40
Nought to do with that either.

10.) 09 Aug 2022 11:35:08
Thanks chaps.

11.) 09 Aug 2022 16:06:33

Hi Ed just read that we are looking at Guido Rodriguez from Real Bettis a CM, he seems a solid number 6 . Have you any information re if we have genuine interest please . Thanks for your patience with our constant badgering but we’re all desperate ?.

Big C

{Ed002's Note - Guido Rodriguez (DM/CM) The club have said that if someone comes up with his €75M release clause then he can be sold. There is no interest at that price, but Chelsea and Arsenal have watched the player but without further departures do not need another DM player - although Kante is aging. It seems unlikely the player would want the move after only being in Spain since January 2020, although Real Betis would be open to a sale. A reasonable fee might be €20M-€25M - but that may not be enough for them. If Liverpool are interested, it would not be as a Wijnaldum replacement but more likely a Fabinho replacement - makes no sense. Potentially on the list for West Ham as a Declan Rice replacement. I am not aware of any approach by Everton.}

1.) 26 Jul 2022 11:04:43
Cheers Ed.

04 Jul 2022 17:41:53
Siggy gone to transonspor on 1.7million a year wages . Court case must have been dropped ?‍♂️.

Big C

1.) 04 Jul 2022 19:20:15
Yeah, thought it was an odd one. Nice to see that we lost £120k a week last season on a guy sitting in a safe house.

{Ed001's Note - what court case? He hadn't been charged yet.}

2.) 04 Jul 2022 19:40:17
Why couldn’t he play for us then? Bit odd that there’s been no communication about it at all.

3.) 04 Jul 2022 21:03:43
The investigation into whatever he was accused of and released on bail . I appreciate he hasn’t been charged yet but it’s strange if still under investigation that he’s been allowed to leave the country . That is why I suggested the case must have been dropped ; by either the police or CPS . The reference to court case was a figure of speech that would be familiar to the general public reader rather than persons aware of the process . Sorry if I suggested otherwise.

Does anyone know if the clubs are streaming the preseason friendlies. I’ve paid my membership and that’s usually part of the deal?

Big C

1.) 13 Jul 2022 13:19:45
Yeah bud will be streamed live via the members lounge I did ask if they were thinking of releasing a firestick Everton app so we can watch them on the TV but they said nope.

2.) 13 Jul 2022 23:18:39
If no one has a membership and can't afford it and any ed can delete this message if it deems bad but vipbox. live every football friendly including us or other matches like pre season or througout this season all matches like.

3.) 14 Jul 2022 19:32:27
Thanks chaps and chapesses.

4.) 14 Jul 2022 20:50:13

5.) 15 Jul 2022 06:30:05
Yes ducksflysouth, there is.

6.) 15 Jul 2022 10:05:41
Think its just a being from liverpool thing meself like lads ?.

17 Jun 2022 10:23:28
It’s typical isn’t it that with us linked to so many Chelsea players on loan and I know we can only have two, that our first game is against Chelsea and we couldn’t play them anyway. It’s almost as if the fa were conspiring against us ?.

Big C

1.) 17 Jun 2022 11:46:22
Can only have 1 from any 1 club.

2.) 17 Jun 2022 11:55:06
I see they kept the greedy 6 away from each other as well on the 12th Nov don't tell me it's not fixed add in sky advertising the opening live games minutes after the fixtures were announced it's almost like they knew them.

3.) 17 Jun 2022 17:37:00
They kept the top teams apart on purpose as Southgate ask for it to help england in the world cup I believe so yes it was ment to be this way.

4.) 17 Jun 2022 19:02:57
Which was completely ridiculous skylark as there are numerous players going to the World Cup who aren’t in the so called top 6.
FA a joke again.

5.) 17 Jun 2022 20:17:18
I agree with Gingerdan this just shows that once again the greedy 6 get treated differently to the other 14 clubs unless your saying international players at those 14 clubs are not as important as the ones who play for the greedy 6.

6.) 17 Jun 2022 20:48:01
I totally agree with you both, I was just repeating what I heard on the football news.

{Ed002's Note - Trouble is, it is all what you English call "bollocks".}

7.) 17 Jun 2022 21:04:00
How very true Ed shame some can’t see it.

8.) 18 Jun 2022 10:57:18
so GuernseyBlue are you saying that after England asked the FA to keep the greedy 6 apart on the 12th November and the fact they were kept apart was pure luck as to me it screams they were kept apart on purpose and shows a complate lack of respect towards the other 14 clubs by saying your players are not as important at the greedys 6s players.

9.) 18 Jun 2022 10:31:42
So you agree with the FA Ed? Or you think it's bollocks?

{Ed002's Note - It is no more than Everton supporters embarrassing themselves and making themselves look particularly stupid.}

10.) 18 Jun 2022 10:55:12
Hi Ed2, I know it was once hinted at that you might be Simon Jordan with all your knowledge of how football finances work, but your in depth knowledge of transfers it has me wondering are you Fabrizio Romano? ?.

11.) 18 Jun 2022 12:46:08
No he is Flint Rasmussen!

12.) 18 Jun 2022 12:58:47
The thing is Ed as we English say is that we like to be ridiculous and poke fun at our selves and we continue with jokes like the whole Riquelme thing, we know there isn’t a conspiracy against us but it’s nice to have a ridiculous moan and blame the fa . Have a lovely day everyone and wait for the season to start before we can be truly frustrated.
Up the toffees ?.

13.) 18 Jun 2022 14:42:33
It was widely reported that the FA had asked for the pre her league to try and avoid the top 6 teams playing each other in last weekend before the World Cup.

Gareth Southgate was also quoted before the Hungary game ‘We have asked the Premier League to have a think about things, but we also understand that the fixture programme is very complicated. ‘We’d have a preference for none of those big games but to be honest the difference it’s going to make is fairly marginal.

He was also quoted in March as saying 'What would help is if we don't get a derby or those sorts of 'big six' games, '

Highly likely that the fixtures just fell the way they have but it’s no surprise people are questioning them with quotes like the above being in public domain.

14.) 18 Jun 2022 17:47:45
It's pretty clear they fixed the fixtures to avoid certain games on the 12th Nov I would hardly call Everton fans embarrassing for calling it out.

15.) 18 Jun 2022 16:54:04
I must be missing something Ed I just posted what I heard on the news about the fixtures, are they telling lies?

16.) 19 Jun 2022 11:33:31
What does it matter? Everyone plays everyone. There’s no conspiracy and even if it was fixed how do they get around injuries and fixture pile up if they get good cup runs. We beat Chelsea Arsenal and United last season when we were on our knees. So I don’t really care when we face them. I just hope we can put our best 11 out and enjoy the game.

17.) 20 Jun 2022 06:41:48
Definitely a conspiracy; I heard the people who decided the fixtures also decided Brexit, have the Arteta money, are responsible for the JFK shooting, 9/ 11, and the reason why the Gocompare guy keeps getting work…

At the end of the day, they all get to play each other. If that means it is rammed over the festive period / towards the end of the season then that is when it is. I’d have thought what happened with us and the congestion of games at the end of the season this year gone would show it is not necessarily a good thing. I’d rather have them spread over the year myself. It could even benefit squads with less internationals in them.

18.) 20 Jun 2022 06:47:34
Total non story this. The fact that they have changed the fixtures, or at least kept the top 6 away from each other on that particular weekend, is to help the national team prepare for the world cup. Can't see much of a problem here, how is that helping those clubs? If anything, it is helping those that are selected for international duty by not having top of the table clashes right before the tournament. Can't see a problem with that, hopefully the move will be justified by England winning the world cup!

Thought I’d get it in first, Riquelme seen buying a box of Yum Yums in Greggs, apparently due to be announced tomorrow.

We need two points to ensure survival or no matter what the result on Thursday we just need to match or do better than Leeds on Sunday unless there is an 18 goals shift between now and 6 o’clock on Sunday.
Alternatively if Burnley lose on Thursday by at least 2 goals, we only need one point between the two games but that could be a dangerous goal difference situation with us currently on -20 and Burnley-18 . If if comes down to goals scored we’ve scored 39 to their 32 as it stands.
Hopefully we can win on Thursday and we’re safe no matter what happens on Sunday ???????????????.

2.) 16 May 2022 21:40:57
Let’s concentrate on the next two games shall we? Plenty of work can be done over the summer, and plenty will be shipped out.

In the club video that got released Townsend was walking about and doing lunges with 40kg bar bell on his shoulders. So it’s looking good, with 5 subs next season impact player to ease him back in.
