Not only has one of the Ed’s on numerous occasions said swap deals rarely if ever happen.
Kalvin Phillips is on approx £150k per week and we’re not willing to pay DCL £135k per week. So from a wage point of view can’t see it happening.
DCL a striker so if goes need a striker in place not a midfielder.
DCL also classed as homegrown so need to sell him to fully benefit from a psr point of view.
Kalvin Phillips is too much of a risk as a signing need a loan to see if can get him decent again as little risk involved then.

Gingerdan, from a PSR point of view the swap would be recorded as a sale and buy in the books. Eg, DCL would be recorded as a sale of say £20m and then Phillips a purchase of £20m. There are a lot of complications with swap deals with the potential to artificially inflate the value of players being swapped (think Juve had this issue? ) , as Everton or City could theoretically say they value DCL and Philips at £100m each and that value (profit) would go into the books. As such clubs tend to avoid actual swaps and do separate deals.

Tuesday is here and another game. Grass isn't always greener. But with all his faults he is probably the 1 I wouldn't of complained about if he had stayed never got a proper a go CB and got put at LB OR RB most times but did a job must be hard when 6.3ft and have tricky little wingers at 5.8 ft with pace turning u inside out. All the players 10 years ago and before say they preferred playing games because they didn't train much and showed up for a sauna and a massage. and it's only the team's doing well and in all the competions that have this argument or that the players moaning have won everything. but if you asked a player would you join say crystal Palace or man city they would say champions league football so for me it's if the player wants to win things or just play football az to how many games they play ie cups ect. I used to play 2 or 3 times a plus training and never got paid anything ? it cost me more what with getting yellow and reds most games but I loved it. They get 1st class every were they go people telling them what they should eat and drink rubbing them down everything and get paid handsomely for the privilege. are halftime team talk was here is a can of stella now make sure you smash that player in the 2nd half easy lol. its all got to technical nowadays. anyway I have gone off topic now. boo hoo they have to play 2 times a week bunch of pussies the lot that are moaning.
