I'm certain we have been cursed as a club. We don't have any luck especially when you look at decisions both on and off the field. Added to that some really poor leadership especially in the 1980s when we were on top which has lead to our decline today. I don't want to feel sorry for myself or the club as we are were we are. We have to move forward, the stadium is a shining beacon, the team isn't as bad as we are all worried about and hopefully in the next few days we'll get some additions.
So if we could buy someone from our past teams, who would it be?

With the modern players being professional athletes, so many of the past pros would just never have made it. Not that we had him in anywhere near his prime but do you think the world would have ever had a Gazza in this day and age? Absolutely no way would he have got past the 16 year old school boys to sign as a pro. How many were drinkers and smokers? Talented yes but barely any of them would have had the discipline to make it to elite level.

Forget this could have, would have, should have mentality. You make your own luck, hard work and practice, practice, practice. I don't think we have a bad bunch of players (this is the Premier league) . The past is the past, you cannot resurrect it. We need to move forward and we cannot do that successfully while some have not learned from that past.

FBS the players mentioned above were the best of their generation they didn't just have natural talent they trained and practiced and honed their skills.
Though the modern game has changed, they would have easily managed and adapted to the training and dietary needs to flourish in the modern era.

We all know there are different requirements nowadays with diets and fitness etc than in the 60s 70s or 80s but would you take Pickfords keeping over Nevs. Or McNeils left foot over Sheedys, Anyone’s engine over Reid’s or even Lukakus strength over Greys?
