Roberto is quite happy with his summer dealings while managing to keep hold of keys players such as Stones, McCarthy, Lukaku, Barkley and Coleman. He will go back into to market for a No.10 in January but in the meantime a Loan is likely. Bernard is Bobby's favourite and more likely to happen rather than the Kiev No.10 who wants champions league football. I would take him on loan with view to buy! Unsure where Rodriguez is going to be used Ed? With Rom, Kone, Naismith and Conor McAleny all favoured. Although Funes Mori is good 9.5m slightly concerns me for a back up centre half unless Stones is to leave in January!

What do you mean in the meantine a loan is likely? We cannot loan players now. Funes Mori has nothing to do with Stones mate, he is cover for now and nothing more.

Don't think he has paid near 10 mill for a backup CB, rather I think he will now go for his favoured back 3 (after a bedding in assessment period for Mori).

9.5m was a few mil more than what we had hoped and expected, we had to fork that out to get the deal done. I don't think he is just back-up as such, I think Martinez has brought him in to compete with stones and jags but also for his potential and ability to adapt to the English game but also grow and become better season after season. He's an Argentinian international and is 24. He is somebody who has been scouted vigorously and is not a panic or reaction buy.
