3.) Doesn't fit the style, money would be far better spent on a striker or two IMO

4.) I would have him back for that. But realistically it ain't going to happen. He is a useful player to have when you need to chase a game. You can shove him up front to get a goal. He usually gets 8 or 9 a season. He can also hold the ball up if you are trying to see a game out. (like he did last night in the Olympiakos game) or he can play holding midfield. probably his worst position, but the one he is known most for.

5.) But Degsy he chose to leave last summer by submitting that transfer request when Leighton stayed loyal. He's made his bed but possibly regretting his hasty decision. His problem, UTD's problem and not ours.

Qualitywise probably but morally no, he is probably a good enough player to get into the squad and could do a job but I would not want someone like him at our club besides it would warn off any potential investors (if we have any)

2.) Why would anyone take a player at his age and his despondent attitude, the guys a liability and not even a good one any more

3.) He'd bring way too much controversy with him IMHO.

4.) No, he is not good enough and would be a totally pointless signing. Not only would he do nothing for us on the pitch and deprive a young and perhaps more deserving academy candidate the chance, but the controversy his signing would no doubt cause would only bring negativity to the club.

7.) While people keep banging on about investors I will keep saying it because i'm sick of hearing investors this investors that degs until something formal come out about it I w keep saying it.
We need to stop thinking about it and get on with what we have

8.) Shakey - aren't you usually the guy who, whenever there's the slightest of slight tenuous links regarding investment, regularly pipes up with 'does this mean we are getting taken over/getting investment' or 'anyone heard anything about any take overs/investment'?

9.) This was discussed last week. Nothing has changed since then. Anelka is a bad apple and would bring nothing to our side other than controversy. Let's put this to bed, once and for all. Not good enough for WBA and without disrespect to Albion who made the correct decision in sacking him, certainly not good enough for us. Let him rot!
