Ed, do you know if Yevhen Konoplyanka is a possibility. Earlier in the window he was linked with West Ham for 8 million. Thanks.

Bobmarina

{Ed025's Note - he was also linked with liverpool bob, but not us mate..

1.) The marketing people would stop any transfer as we could not fit his name on the new shirts

I'm sure I mentioned much earlier in the window, or possibly even before the transfer window opened that we should look at both Yarmolenko and Knoplyanka. Both quality midfielders in good form, young enough to be with us for a number of years or potentially sell on recouping some of the fee paid. I believe the two players would be an instant hit in the prem and can not understand if either are available why teams are not snapping at the bit to buy them.

Love it to be true but I am not holding my breath. Just in case it is true, thank you in advance

1.) If (when?) we move into a new stadium, what should its name be?
Should we:
(1) Retain the name 'Goodison Park' - perhaps calling it 'New Goodison Park'?
(2) Have a new name - such as 'The Walton Hall Park Arena'?
(3) Sell the naming rights for mega bucks?
I accept that our options are limited if we don't own the stadium and are only leasing it.

2.) 'The People's Stadium', a lasting monument to DM!

3.) If things go ahead according to plan and the move goes ahead, I'd like to think that Goodison could be incorporated into the name in some shape or form. 'The New Goodison' sounds good to me. Milwall did this, although it would appear that other teams have taken the golden dollar and sold out to advertising. Arsenal, Man City and even the likes of Stoke, Bolton and Coventry.
I do hope that we are different and that our history and heritage can be continued and remembered for future generations. We might not be able to continue to stay at Goodison for financial reasons but let's allow for some of the nostalgia to travel with us.

I'd be more interested in the name of the stands than the stadium name if I'm honest. One stand I'd like to keep is the gwladys for sentimental reasons, but on the other hand I'd like the stands potentially named after past icons as dixie, sheedy, kendall, ball, royle, fergie, southall. too many to mention them all. With this in mind we could cover a substantial part of the cost of building the stadium through the naming rights.

5.) As the street names wouldn't coincide with a change of area then the names of all stands apart from main stand for obvious reasons would all change, I'm guessing who ever invests in the stadium would want there name in there, I.e the tesco stadium when the Kirkby project had legs for a while

Everybody knows about us wanting Scott Sinclair being up for sale and us showing interest. I think we should get Gareth Barry also because they reckon he is surpluss to requirements at City and left out of the squad due to play Arsenal in Helsinki. Amazing player at Villa but not settled yet and still he starts most games. What do you think Ed {Ed025's Note - not a player i rate bob, over hyped for me mate..

Bobmarina

1.) We're not in for either both not good enough

2.) 10 Aug 2013 15:19:10
Gareth Barry couldn't trap a bag of cement.

3.) Astonishingly average player. Actually, no, he's not average, he's S**t.
