Did anyone else think we looked knackered in the last 20 mins today. I think it was McCarthy who lost control of the ball in their half which lead to their 2nd goal and made no effort to track back seemingly due to the fact he looked absolutely shattered. The body language of the majority of the team seemed to me that they were dead on their feet.I understand its the first game etc but surely fitness levels should be able to cope with a full 90mins. It just seemed that for the last 20mins we were going through the motions and praying for the whistle IMO.
{Ed025's Note - bit harsh that duncan imo, it was a spawny goal that deprived us of the win, it happens mate..
1.) It was not McCarthy it was Mirallas and he was only a few mins, tried to beat a player out wide in there half and when the ball was taken off him he stood there looking for a free
2.) They shouldn't of had a corner for the first goal because a fowl on jags and both goals were quick clearances that landed to there feet, although both teams didn't exactly create many clear cut chances they didn't really look like scoring at all which is a shame
