So in his time at Wigan, Roberto Martinez valued James McCarthy at £20m? Yet, he's just bid £7m for him. Is this what you would call a 'derisory and insulting' offer?

1.) I'd say it was. but I think it was Dave wheel an who put the 20 m price tag. not Martinez. I would say 11-12m is a fair price. but no more. kagawa was 10m Capone was 9. I can't see how McCarthy would be much more than this 2. before anyone bangs on about fellainis price tag. he's proven and can play a number of different roles. yet to be demonstrated by the players I have just mentioned.
