Daniel levy is their chairman? When is the price right? They got 86m for an overrated chimpanzee, actualy money for scott run in a circle all game parker and 15m for darren I can't hit a barn door bent, I think the possibility of the price being right is pretty unlikely

I remember seeing Nathan Redmond play at Birmingham in the 12/13 season and said at the time I'd have both of them at Everton. With Norwich going down I'd like to think we could get Redmond. I'd definitely go for Redmond as geri is back at barca and we need another pacey winger to replace him and the price would be low as they are a championship club. From the first half of the england u21's game he's looked quality too. Thoughts eds?

Neil1997

{Ed002's Note - I have no thoughts about him at all - and the court order ensures I will not in the future.}

1.) We were supposedly interested in him last summer and he publicly declared that he wanted to come to us and would wait until we made an approach. We didn't. He has been quite good this season, but he was the season before when we evidently had no interest. I doubt anything's changed.

2.) I think we should go for him. Norwich's finances are common knowledge having been relegated and Redmondwould be a great acquisition to replace Delboy.

would anyone consider kevin volland at heffenheim or tom huddlestone personally I think they are both good players and could add something to us, although we're not linked with them, thoughts?

Neil1997

1.) Dont know much about volland but always rated Huddlestone.

I was also very impressed with stones and alcarazs ball playing ability from the back, for me the best complement we can give them is we haven't missed jags and distin so far

1.) Isn't it great to have that strength in depth at centre back? In my humble opinion, we're not far short of having two decent players in the squad for every position (1 to 11).
I'm confident that RM will achieve this fully by an astute combination of in/out moves during the next few transfer windows in addition to bringing through the best of our U18 and U21 players.

{Ed025's Note - i love to see the young guys coming through kev, they are the future of every club, and i believe we are blessed with arguably the best in the country..

2.) What's great for me is that some of these younger players will get their chance to come into a side that's playing well and could therefore play with confidence and - to use RM's phrase - arrogance. It also seems that RM trusts the players he selects and that must be great for them. How many times have you heard other managers saying things like "we HAD to put 18-year olds on the bench"? How negative is that - and how demoralising for the young players? With RM, the selection of younger players - like Barkley and Stones to name but two - is made with confidence and praise. Our squad must be a fantastic example of spirit and character - not least because RM says that everyone has an important role to play. I love it, just love it.

A lot of people seem to think jelavics performances today was to put himself in the shop window for others clubs to come and get him. Have you not thought that he wanted to prove he can still do it at us? because whoever he joins will be a step down from us if not two! Personally I would like to see him given a few more starts before the end of the window to see if he carrys on his form, if not we can move him on at the back end of the window. Thoughts?

Neil1997

{Ed025's Note - he has had a hell of a lot of chances to prove himself neil, i have no doubt that he has the ability, but does he have the heart?..we can ill afford passengers, but i have faith that bobby will make the right call on whether he keeps him or not mate..

1.) Like Ed025, I'll trust RM to make the right decision for the good of the club. What I especially like about RM is that he praises Jelavic for his hard work - in training and when selected - and also speaks about the good runs he made in the area that weren't always matched by others making telling final passes to him. Even behind closed doors - such as on the training ground - I imagine RM and his staff always encouraging the players and accentuating the positive. I can't imagine any tea cups flying around or hair dryer treatment, even if the players needed to be geed-up at half-time in some matches. In my humble opinion, players don't need to be frightened of their manager - they should respect him, feel they're being treated as adults, and know that they're part of a squad of players who will be given a fair chance to perform to the best of their ability. Simples.

{Ed025's Note - sounds about right to me baron..

2.) From today i'd say he has the heart ed worked his balls off up there, i'd like to see him get a go up top in the league after today

{Ed025's Note - no one would be happier than me if he proved me wrong neil, but doing well against a mediocre championship side, and doing it week in week out in the prem, are poles apart mate, but as long as he is at our club and wearing the hallowed shirt, i will back him 100%..

3.) Fair point, that's why I said we could always move him on later in the window if he can't reproduce in the league, cheers ed
