God bless David Moyes! True Everton legend. All the best for the future! Ed, who you reckon we'll get in? {Ed002's Note - I should stick with my suggestion of Martinez. If you want a couple of names from left field, perhaps Stuart McCall, Rene Girard and Vitor Pereira.}

Toffeebhoy

1.) Please god not Martinez, Wigan are s****. Martinez no money and relegation Moyes no money and. Seventh

2.) No chance of Slaven Bilic ed? {Ed025's Note - i dont see why not..

3.) 09 May 2013 16:37:48
Neil Lennon for me!

Blue Bones {Ed025's Note - i would sooner have..keith lemon bones!..

4.) Moyes has spent a lot lot more than Martinez. Wigan are a s*** team that play good football. They played us off the park. We were lucky to beat them at our place and drew at theres.

Ed - I like the Rene Girard shout. Great manager, done wonders for Montpellier. Would prefer someone with English experience though. {Ed002's Note - Rene has been brushing up on his English and is looking for a job in England - Newcastle might also be an option. The press in England will have a ball with him.}

5.) How about big dunc and and little help in background for him like joe royle! {Ed025's Note - not for me mate..

6.) Best man to take up forward and into the top four would be 'arry.

can't stand the man myself but like I said he would be the best man to take us forward after DM {Ed025's Note - behave yourself!..

7.) 09 May 2013 17:47:29
Neil Lennon :) Ed Lenny is the man to do it :) Last 16 Champs League and Beat Barcelona with very little money :) Celtic have Beaten Barcelona twice in last 8 years Manchester United Beat them Once Lenny Matched Fergies Record aganist them

8.) Hughes? O'Neill?

9.) I would much rather we give a promising younger manager such Poyet or Mackay than the usual list of failures who seem to get job after job like O'Neil or Hughes.
RickTee

10.) Legends do things like win trophy's and take club to top he's done neither

11.) Bye Davey. Thankyou. Charlieblue

12.) I don't know who this joke that keeps on suggesting lennon is, i'm guessing that you support celtic and want a new manager that will play decent football, l celtic spent 90mins in there box throwing themselves at the ball and scored off one counter attack

don't ever suggest that terrible team winning that awful league is a great achievement

I do not want Kone anywhere near our club! He was wigans main striker an they got relegated! Speaks volumes for me. He does not improve us! Why go backwards? I'd rather give the younger lads a go than sign him

Toffeebhoy

1.) It matters not a jot what you want as your not our manager thank god, but you are the worst kind of supporter though so I give you that.

2.) My sentiment exactly. He's 30 in 4/5 months. And he will cost an absolute minimum of £5m. That is money we can't afford to waste in our position. £5m on a 28 year old, in our position, is not worth it (unless his name is 'L. Messi') and could be all our funds gone (unless we sell) in return for probably 10 goals, give or take a couple.

Say he scores 11 goals like last season, it's not good enough. I'd rather we spend big, big money (generated from a sale or two) on a guaranteed 20 goal a season man, instead of signing an 11 goal a season man but being able to sign maybe 1 more player for a few mil.

This is very important we don't waste a single penny when we have the limited funds available.

Vellios, Jela, Vic, Kev (wing or st) are all players who given playing time and played in the right position will get a minimum of say 7-8 goals each. With one or two of them getting the same as Kone would do.

I have faith in RM. Talent in South America is very good and given we don't choose on of the big names, we could pick up the next 'star' for half the price of Kone.

3.) How does spending 20 mill guarantee 20+goals. you can spend 10 grand and get a surprise package who will get you 50 goals. who knows what's out there. I remember a arsrnal reject who ended up at Bristol City and Newcastle signed him for pennies. a certain mr Andy Cole. You don't have to play for top club to be a good striker

4.) It was their defence that got them relegated, not their striker

5.) Keith EFC, firstly you say he is 30 in 4/5 months, then go onto say he is 28? not possible! then you go onto talking about his 11 goals last season when it was 13, then go onto talking about a guarenteed 20+ a season striker, it was kones first season in the prem last season, I will take a 100 pound bet with you right now that he will get 18+ next season

6.) So what your saying is we take a chance on a south american for 5mil, get real that's worse than picking a striker who played well last year in a poor team, we desperately needed a striker last year in form

7.) Come on then manager of the month tell me how he improves us? Is he better than what we have got? IMO no. and steady lad calling me the worst sort of supporter! No need to get personal just my view. in my eyes your what's negative about everton all your concerned with is slagging people off and not even supporting. if he signs ill back him. just feel there is better younger stikers out therefor the same money

8.) I don't say he is 30 in 4/5 months, and then say he is 28. I mean that price on a 28 year old is bad in our position, let alone a 30 year old.

And I didn't say spending £20m will guarantee 20+ goals. I said I'd rather we spend £20m on a player who is known to get that amount of goals. I didn't say "spend £20m on any striker", I said "spend £20m on a guaranteed 20+ goal man. I said guaranteed, not any striker. No one is guaranteed, but previous history of 20+ suggests a better investment than 10 goals p/s.

9.) And I didn't say I prefer he look in SA for talent. I said the talent there is good and it is a possibility because RM likes taking players from that part of the world.

I would happily do that bet with you anonymous, but you didn't leave a name!

10.) Sorry but you shouldn't be so confident when you say "I bet you £100 right now that he will get 18+ next season", we all thought the same with Jelavic, Newcastle all thought the same with Pappis Cisse after good first seasons.

11.) Take a look at the scoring chart for last seasons premiership.

Kone 11
Jelavic 7
Anichebe 6

Kone was playing in a relegated team (not his fault) whilst Jela and Vic were playing in a team that came 6th.

Also take a look at the players who scored more goals than Kone and see how many of those you think we could buy for 5m

Martinez knows the guy inside out and knows if he's worth buying or not - he's not going to just waste money, buy rubbish and get the sack is he - he's going to be careful what he buys

Until he proves otherwise, I reckon Martinez is a good manager

12.) So Kone shouldn't take any of the resposibility for Wigan getting relegated?. Its funny that, cause he clearly thinks the same.

Kone and Everton sounds like a marriage made in heaven to me.

No wonder the team hasn't preformed at home this season. you can hear a pin drop! We need to organise a singin section to get the old lady rockin again!
