Not a regular poster but a regular visitor. Think it's hypocritical to criticise Stones for being greedy and lacking loyalty. You seem to conveniently forget that you took him from Barnsley who brought him through the youth system. Do you think you would continue playing him in the first team "giving him his chance to play in the premier league football" if he wasn't good enough. it's easy to be loyal to a player when he is top class. Everton discard plenty of players if they don't think they make the grade. Did Everton pay him the same salary he was on at Barnsley? I don't think so.

The thing is, he only signed a contract 12 months ago for 5 years. And not exactly on poor wages either. It's not so much about his greed, rather that he has attempted to force the club's hand with only 6 days to go until deadline day, which in my opinion is out of order. I also think that it is a silly decision anyway, as he is a guaranteed starter here for every game he is fit, our number 5. With the Euros coming up next year why would you go to Chelsea where there's a chance he may only get 20 odd games this season.
