{Ed025's Note - I don't do liverpool players Jon, let them worry about us mate..

1.) Ye too right ed coyb

05 Jan 2014 17:43:03
Tom Ince 7-2 from 33's to join us now, some lad on twitter claims he met him in the grand last night and he said he meeting Bobby on Thursday, said him and ross going to 'rip it up' for Everton'.

Ed,
I have heard we are in talks wit spurs over DEFOE!
It depends on them getting another striker in.

jon b {Ed025's Note - i have not heard that jon..

jon b

1.) Is that Defo, ( no Defoe ) HA HA

20 Aug 2013 03:01:23
lads LCAB is adamant baines and feli are going.
Has been for a while.
Ed you know the lid doesn't chat balls.
I am worried.
Jon B {Ed025's Note - im worried as well jon, but to be fair, the club have dismissed the bid out of hand...i would still like a "NOT FOR SALE" statement but im sure the club know the consequences of selling your soul to the red devils mate..

jon b

1.) In this case he is chatting balls. One or the other will go but on out terms not moyes's feeble, pathetic valuations.
It's also interesting to note not one tv, radio, paper journalist has implied ed Woodward made the bids, all have stated categorically Moyes's fingerprints are all over it.
Who'd have known the Man U manager would have had anything to do with bids for Everton players, eh?

Reports of a 40 mil double bid for baines and felaini coming in from utd.

Hope its bull.

jon b

1.) If its true then I would push for £45 mill and get it done sooner rather than letting it drag on.
obviously would love to keep them both but if they want to go then we need to push on. one thing though the Ginger Marty Feldman lookalike will be reviled for this.

stewillow

2.) Would rather keep them but if RM got to spend it all we would could get some great players in
Cheeks

3.) I hope its true, I do not want to see either leave, but 40 mil would wipe out 1/2 our debt and still spend 15 mill

4.) Is that you posting again BK

5.) So what fans here are saying is get rid of our best 2 players for 40 million and spend little to try and replace them. Yet we will lose more games and with it prize money. No hope of Europe. If we have any ambition we would block any bid unless the player pushes for a move.

6.) £40 million, would take that! £20 million to Roberto and £20 million towards the debt.

7.) 12 Jul 2013 21:35:08
Baines is irreplaceable but I would let Fellaini go for 20 mil. He isn't going to be used the way he had been under moyes and I think there are defensive midfielders out there just as good between 3 and 8 million

8.) We have around 10 mortgages outstanding and countless other debts with no option of paying them off early, so this idea we could pay half of our debts off is wide of the mark. It's a lot more complex than saying debt is £40m let's pay £20m off and it's halved, doesn't work like that.

lacina traore lads,
looks clumsy,

jon b

{Ed025's Note - im not a fan either jon....but NB..i have been wrong before :)

1.) 17 Jan 2014 21:51:39
Just done the usual Youtube Ed and he looks big, strong, fast and skillful, I know its Youtube but he defo has something

{Ed025's Note - i have not seen that much of him degs, but tall and gangly players seem to promote a long ball game, which is something that i would hate to see us playing mate..

2.) He's got quick feet and a deft touch for such a big lad. Seems strong on the ball too, based on the few clips I've seen.

3.) True Ed but could you see Martinez allowing us to play the long ball game? I certainly couldn't and his large build would surely only be a plus whe have struggled to score from crosses the season and he would definitely help with that

{Ed025's Note - fair point lew..

4.) 17 Jan 2014 22:26:51
Decent striker, considering, has pace, power, is actually not that good in the air considering he is 6-foot-8, very strong, decent finisher and can go past people but is always on his arse and is about as agile as a walrus, for cover why not but in terms of quality he won't make us better he will just be another body in the squad

Mike-Ox Long

5.) Can't happen anyway he can only play for the club who sorted the work permit if we want him we would have to apply for another permit plus why would bobby sell a permanent contracted player and replace him with a loan isn't the point of a us getting a new striker to replace lukaku when he returns to Chelsea! Lazy journalism again! I'm sure bobby will surprise us all with a little gem :-)

31 Aug 2013 11:35:07
Ed,
Feli not in team today, I am realy disappointed.
All eyes turn to wigans teamsheet now I suppose.
McCarthy won't be in their''s either.

jon b

jon b

1.) Er, according to Sky he's playing.

2.) That's funny as he is starting crap rumour

3.) Well mate team sheets out and he is and so his baines

29 Aug 2013 09:57:28
Ed, official site says Martinez did not receive transfer request from baines, Gregg O'Keeffe also confirms this and confirms that no 38 mil joint bid has been received.
SO CHILL EVERYONE!
I cannot see why everyone is getting so wound up, if it wasn't for a couple of goal posts we could have atleast 4 points from 2 prem games and Robles had nothing to do last night.
We are about to give someone a pasting ed!
I havn't seen us knock the ball around like we are at the minute since the days of, tricky trev, brace, sheeds and reidy.
Am luvin the Martinez era so far, he is honest, intelligent and genuine. Seems to be very taken with our loyal support as well.
Even when lady luck didn't shine on us last night he still kept trying to pass the ball. Not once did we panic and start to hoof!
BOBBY MARTINEZ IS going to LEAD US TO THE PROMISED LAND!
Just be patient blues,
Barcelona wasn't built in a day.
jon b.

jon b

1.) Totally agree we are playing the ball arpund better than ever and refusing to panic and resort to lumping it forward to bigwig, in time this will pay off, our tactics are much better we just need to be à bit more clinical in the box and its about tome lady luck shined on us

2.) 29 Aug 2013 10:46:04
I couldn't agree more am loving the way we are playing. Loving seeing the younger players getting a proper opportunity instead of the last 2 minutes.
those that don't like it do you really want return to the crash bang wallop of Moyes and round relying on knockdowns and launching it from the fullbacks

3.) Great shout Jon b.we should have won about 5-1 last night.I was impressed with Ross, Stonesy, Ged but I have to say I thought Naismith & Osman offered very little.
I don't want to destroy them for the sake of it but I just don't see what they bring to the team.
Ossie should be a bit embarrssed to be totally outshone by young Ross and equally Naismith by Ged.I wanted RM from the outset and I am confident he will get it right for us.We need to trust him and support all the way.

4.) Like he previous two posters i'm loving the new style of play, and all those saying it's boring just don't have a clue as they have seen nothing but hoofball for the last 20 years, for me its not the players that need educating it's the fans as they have come to accept hoofball as the norm and everything else is alien to them.

5.) It's not that it's boring, it's ineffective when it's played at a snail's pace around the back allowing teams to regain their shape and get men behind the ball.
It's too predictable and will not work with the players we currently have. There's no cutting edge there and very little pace. You can't teach an old dog new tricks especially when they're not your dogs.
B-wise

6.) B-Wise, Congratulations as you're the only Everton fan who has got it nailed down mate.

Your so money Supermarket you don't even know it .

Martinez plays "GUERRILLA" football.
His team lie in wait for the opposition and then punish them on the counter attack.
He employs sharp shooters to fire in from distance and snipers to hit free kicks.
His team is adaptable and unpredictable.
With his neat jumpers and kind smile, martinez looks a decent man but underneath that veneer beats the heart of and the mind of a natural insurgent.

GUERRILLA FOOTBALL ed, am loving that title,
what you reckon. {Ed025's Note - love it jon..

jon b

1.) You been reading the executioners bong Jon?

2.) So does that mean we are now the Blue Army Faction?

He thought we weren't ready.
But he did say before he left that he was considering it this season.
My take on it is that he didn't want over exposure of our young players in case teams came in to buy them.
The majority of the teams in it are high profile and there are scouts from all over the world watching it regularly.
Bobby Marteenez obviously sees it as a development process.
