My opinion has not changed after yesterday's result. I am over the moon with the result, but that is one game. Moyes has stabilised us and for that I am extremely grateful, but he seems only to be planning for his next game and not planning for the future. Dibbing, Rohl, Anzou, George and Armstrong are the future. I am not saying they should all play every game, but they need to be integrated into the squad to get them ready for next season when hopefully at least a third of the squad will be moved on. The message we are sending out now is that regardless of your ability you will not get into the first team.
What message is that sending out to future transfers and current players. If I were a young player and I had a choice of clubs to move to I would think twice about joining Everton whilst Moyes is at the helm. I am hoping that now the 40 point mark has been reached Moyes will give these players a chance, but I am not confident that he will. If Moyes is with us next season I would like to see him giving the younger guys a run in the Cup competitions if he is still as stubborn as he appears to be now.

If he planned for the future this season, and we were fighting relegation, would you be happy with that scenario?

You are assuming that if he gave these players minutes, we would be fighting relegation. No one knows the answer to that, but surely, given our home performances and the loss of points, giving them minutes could not have been any worse, and who knows, we might have won a few more points. Building their confidence and experience can only benefit everyone.

Exactly, Yam Yam, but that doesn't fit with some people's rhetoric, mate.

Thanks BMD, was starting to question my sanity. I was around for the Harvey, Ball, Kendall days, and my expectations are maybe a little higher than others. It's not that I can't see progress, it's just that I feel we could be doing better with what we have at our disposal.
It's as though we are playing with the handbrake on, or worse, throwing it into reverse. Yes, our squad needs improving, but we have talent already that is not being used.

Guys, we have better players than a lot of people think. This "getting rid of deadwood" line really annoys me, as some of the so called "dead wood" play every week. Age is catching up with them, and so changes will have to be made. However, we already have players to replace some of these older players. They just don't get game time. We have shown at times that we can play slick passing football, but too often we settle for the long boot up the pitch to no one. And it's this tactic that annoys supporters. On Saturday we were playing really well, then when we went 2-1 up we sat back, and the inevitable happened.
Supporters see this and question why we don't just continue playing and dominating the game, and this is not the first time that has happened. Fortunately, we managed to sneak a win this time, but too often we have dropped points using this tactic. Still, win one and everyone thinks Moyes is the man. Lose and he needs binning. At the end of the day, it will be down to the owners to decide. Until then, we will carry on disagreeing, game by game.
