If Branthwaite has badly torn his hamstring again and weds another operation then I think we need to look to permanently replace him, he's great but can't stay fit. Reminds me of Ledley King.

Or just give the lad time to fully recover. Best centre back we have. Still young and will only get better.

Or we make sure we get a proper RB in that we have needed for some time, to allow OBrien to move to central defensive role to cover JB.

I also thought of Ledley King when he got injured yesterday.

It is a worry, but he is a class player when fit. It's just not knowing if he is going to be like this all the time.

Never going to fully recover after tears to hamstring and tendons. Scarring (fibrosis) builds up, resulting in loss of muscle elasticity. A very good player as he is, it means we are not going to get a full season out of him. Need a large squad of good players, and we have had years of neglect. It is going to take a couple of seasons.

Full recovery from a hamstring tear is possible with proper treatment and rehabilitation, allowing most people to return to their previous activity levels, including high-level sports.
While minor tears heal in days, moderate to severe (grade 3) tears can take several months or even over a year to fully recover, with a high risk of re-injury if rehabilitation is rushed.

KDH seems to have recovered well from his. So, can't blame the medical team. Could be a player issue? Hopefully it can be sorted. We have one of the best left-footed centre backs in the league.
