After yesterday's humiliating defeat, it has to be time to go with a new manager. DM is like an old shoe, comfortable and dated. His time is over. Thanks for steadying the ship, but with the likes of Villa and Palace in another final we are nowhere near it.

People don't like change because it's scary and a risk, but I'll take a risk over mid table mediocrity and out of the cups at the first hurdle. There isn't a team in the league that fears us. We need a massive overhaul.

"Careful what you wish for" is such a boring term used by those satisfied with consistent nothingness.

The Reds binned off Rodgers because top 7 wasn't good enough for them and they went and got one of the best managers in the world and he had success with a pretty terrible squad at the time.

Bournemouth, Palace and Brighton are all small clubs that have signed young, exciting players and took risks by attacking teams. 1 has won a trophy and potentially another one in Europe, the other 2 are fighting for Europe, 1 of whom has not been in the league very long.

Aston Villa have been in the league for 6 years and have got Champions League football and a European final.

But asking a club that has been in the top flight since forever, to have a bit more ambition than just "16th at worst, 10th at best" is apparently the equivalent to saying "why can't we win the league next season?"

There is an attack minded young coach available and he's going to end up at Crystal Palace because we are a bunch of unambitious losers.

Aston Villa are a great example of how to get it right. Appoint a top manager who can motivate his players, make changes when needed, and have more than one tactic.

100% agree. If you remember correctly, we tried this with Carlo Ancelotti 1 and a half years, 12th and 10th, and he left to Real. Honestly, I may be crazy in saying this, but give Baines the job and put Seamus as assistant. Both know the club, and have been around for the best times of this club in recent years.

I don't want someone who "knows the club". I want someone who knows how to win. Couldn't care less if they couldn't find us on a map, if they come in and start winning games, have more than one tactic, and aren't scared to use young players, then that's good enough for me.
