So yet another season gone, another season of boring long ball football with the odd good game. Wimped out of both cups, but hey at least we are not fighting relegation eh.
Dyche in his one full season got 48 points, next season got sacked. Moyes in his first full season got 49 points, with some might say better players and money to spend. See the pattern here, we haven’t progressed at all this season, in fact we have gone backwards.
In the summer we spent quite a bit of money strengthening the team, but we stuck to the same formation, the same tactic and the same players.

Squad rotation was non-existent with many supporters believing the other players mustn’t be good enough. Yet we had players who were clearly not playing well and yet still kept their places.
This can only be down to poor man-management and stubbornness to change.
Keep Moyes for another season and things will only get worse, with the club eventually having to sack him halfway through the season. If the club have money to spend, then use it to get a new manager in, don’t wait till we have another Dyche scenario and waste another season.

Following the Chelsea game, I had the opposite opinion to you, AD, but after the complete collapse of the last few months, I think we need a change.

For me, it came down to three things:

1) Never changing the tactics even when you could clearly see it wasn't working.

2) Recruitment, Dibling being the prime example, 40m could have got us two players in that were PL ready, who could have been the difference between where we finished and Europe.

3) Complete lack of rotation, we were gassed in the run in. We used 22 players over 38 matches, which is nuts. Dibling hardly got used. Anzou should at least have been given a run, Patterson could not have been any worse than O'Brien was yesterday at RB, but was still left out.

Rohl only got in the squad because McNeil was allowed to be awful for weeks before any action was taken. O'Brien himself should have at least rotated to CB to give one of the others a rest. George was used sparingly, Armstrong only got a few starts.

DM saying he is p*ssed off yesterday after takes the biscuit.

We have the following smaller clubs tearing things up because they work with modern managers with good tactics and sort out their recruitment: Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford & Sunderland.

I am holding a massive royal blue candle of hope that there are massive changes coming this summer, because I'm so hacked off at the minute.

After the Chelsea game it seemed that everyone considered us candidates for European football.
In the seven games since, it was more like relegation than European form, played 7, drawn 4, lost 3, only Wolves and Burnley, I think, had worse.

Spurs and West Ham had better last 7 game results than us.
What went wrong! We used virtually the same players up to the Chelsea game as after it.
