Any sport that has sponsorship from betting and gambling companies has no moral standing to judge players. If there is a gambling addiction, he does need treatment. If he is young and dumb, he needs a sanction over a short period of time, then be allowed to resume his career.
I'm tired of seeing sports take gambling money yet act high and mighty when someone of the same target population for gambling participates in the advertised product.

You're 100% right, 770. The only issue I see with it is if the opportunity presents itself, could the addiction lead to match fixing? They seem to think there could be a direct correlation between the two, and the results have far reaching consequences. Maybe give it to a separate body to decide so that it doesn't look so hypocritical. ?♂️
